  1. So, I got my hands on a little bit of money and want to make a setup for game developing. I am using programs like PS, Illustrator, Gadot, Unity,UE4, etc. Also, Ito learn code (python primarily). I am kind of bored of playing video games so I want to try and make some interesting 2d and later on 3d games. Got a 1050ti from a friend for free with SSD 120 GB that I am gonna use for OS and my old 1Tb HDD for main storage. But I dont know what CPU to get. I can choose between: 1. Xeon E5 2628L v4 + MS X99 SLI plus (used ofc) 2. Ryzen 5 2600, 3600 or 7 2700 with Biostar AM4 B450MH 3. Intel i5 9400f with Biostar H110MDE All combinations are gonna go with 2x8 gb ddr4 ram (differend speeds = gonna get faster for ryzen like 3200+) until I can get more money for more memory and much better GPU. I intend to mainly use it for game development and occasional gaming at 1080p on my monitor, but I can use my 4k TV as well when I get better GPU. So I want to know what is best buy for me cause all 3 option more or less cost the same. (Intel option is cheaper by 50 bucks then first 2) and what is future proof but also can help me a lot with working on my current projects.
  2. Well, I can return it even if its used. But honestly its not bothering me and I got it for like 30 dollars. On the other hand if its something that can be fixed somehow I would like to try few things. If not I am keeping it anyway. Its not visible during gaming and its transparent so its not blacking my view. How should I put it : its just there. So if anyone knows some method of cleaning or running some tests or had a problem like this pls tell me what this thing is.
  3. Guys I have a problem with my monitor. I got myself an used HP Compaq LA2405wg monitor for a awesome price. And I tested it in the store and all but I failed to notice this stain or something. Don't know how to call it so I uploaded 2 pics for you to try to help me out. Good thing is that its not that easy to spot I guess. Like when I play video games I cant see it. (that's why I didn't return the monitor cause its not really something that bothers me a lot). But if I can fix it I would gladly do it. I tried to clean it cause I though its on the outside. Well that still could be the case for all I know cause maybe I haven't used good cleaning product. Hope you can help me with this. Pictures are bad because my mobile phone camera is lame.
  4. First Skylake CPU comes on Gamescom 100% inside info
  5. Just called a guy and he said he tested only CPU intensive games like Dying Light, ARMA etc on both rigs from all the games he tested. Others were tested on his own rig. So in the end comparison comes to conclusion that those games really saw a difference on FX 8320 at least. Damn, that really puzzles me if other FX models are gonna "explode" in a good way. Btw I have intel i5 - 4460 and just reporting what is a difference a friend gained by testing w8.1 and w10. I am not AMD fanboy lol I am just happy they got some wind to sail the same sea. Well, maybe a river that goes in that sea lol. Anyway my bro has APU a10-5800k and I am gonna test far cry 3 he has on it and after I get w10 gonna post results to see difference on that rig.
  6. Its not drivers its system thats way better man. The guy tested all. Online tests are nothing where he takes it. He takes effort to test even on low res with low settings on 10+ games. I think he knows about drivers cause he gets stuff earlier then most of ppl To add in response not to write a lot to Monarch he used newest drivers on both rigs. (some games were tested on his borthers rig same config just w8.1 both clean install)
  7. No man he tested for example on Dying Light. He coudn't run it on w8.1 on 1080p all maxed. But yesterday on w10 he gets round 20 fps. From game he cant run at all and to avg 20 fps its awesome. He tested bunch of batman games too ( haven't played those so I don't know the names) and far cry 4, gta 5 and that witcher 3. Some games gain a lot and some gain small improvement. He says I should avoid update and get clean install to see real benefits that will come to my house in few days after the tests are over on his rig and I have far cray and wow on my brothers PC so I will do tests on those myself. I am gonna be happy with 5 fps lol
  8. Hm, yes but still I would like to see some FX charts with new system to "kill" that question once and for all I mean, its gonna get gains for Intel too but not like Intel needed it. I did find some tests with i7- 4770 but really whats the point there
  9. O yes LMAO my bad sorry guys W 10 that comes with dx 12. Anyway question is the same has someone did some before and after tests? Give a guy a brake I made a honest mistake just woke up lol
  10. Ofc he has W 12 he got it from Microsoft this week to run some tests. He works there ffs lol I though its out by now so everyone has it cause he told me he will install it to my system
  11. So, lately I am in search of the tests performed on dx11 and dx12. I was visiting my friend and he got Windows 12 lately and while testing the games he played this year (10+ games) on W8.1 he says he saw big improvement in fps. He wasn't specific but gain were over 20-30 fps in some games. His build is, to be simple, fx8320 + 270x. FX is slightly clocked from start. Because he got new system he certainly isn't gonna get W 8.1 again for sure but I am interested to see real gaming difference on AMD and Intel CPU's alike. All I can find online are drawing cells tests and its getting boring with this 10x then before stuff. Ok, I know you said it million times people. Its 10x whatever. I don't trust no one until I see gaming benchmarks. The friend I wrote about is pretty reliable guy. He is kind of a guy that does system on December 31 at 11pm cause its not behaving as it should be (happened at his house party and once on Christmas). His tests are on all setting possible to the point but noob haven't recorded old avg fps. But as I said, according to his memory of the games he played gains are huge. Still, I would like to see some tests or hear from someone else who has done the same with their system. Btw tests he made were on 1080p just to add cause he believes its gonna get most gains for the FX on that resolution. And 270x to be fair isn't anything special on 1440p lol
  12. No I have 970 worst idea ever not waiting on 390 nothing personal with AMD or Nvidia but if you like to buy gpu every 2 years be my guest
  13. You do know ppl he can return it and its better purchase for the money
  14. Get 390 for the money you have PSU to support it its better then 970
  15. Max you can go with that CPU is something like 370
