Long walks on the beach. And when I say long walks, I mean LONG walks. Most people who go with me aren't prepared for my definition of long. They'll start whining after about an hour saying "I'm tired. Lets go back."

  1. KOTOR: Still one of the best RPGs I have ever played to date. To anyone who hasn't yet, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

  2. Question: Is there really a point to having that many USB slots other than "because I can?" This is obviously a joke, but at the same time is there actually a reason to add even more than one of those cards to a PC? EDIT: got rid of the image heavy quote (sorry :P)
  3. Thanks a ton dude! You're a lifesaver
  4. Do you know of a variety that is grounded?
  5. I've been looking for a cable that has this type of connection but with a ground prong on the AC side. Does anyone know if anything in that variety even exists? Thanks!
  6. Great idea, but that'd be within Amazon's jurisdiction more than LTT's. Better to bring it up with them.
  7. Hey LTT, Just today I got a new monitor set (Eris E4.5) and when I had finished all the connections and wiring, I noticed a distinctive favor to the left speaker. I figured it was just a loudness unbalance or faulty wiring but after I double-checked my balances and my cables the problem still persisted. I did a balance test online which revealed that the right speaker wasn't just quieter than the left, it was actually a bit muffled. I'm not sure what the problem is, though after inverting lefts and rights I figure it may just be the right speaker (the left-side test on the right speaker was still loud and clear). Do you think I have a faulty unit? I know that the E4.5s have one active and one passive monitor, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Also, I'm using RCA unbalanced inputs if that helps any. Thanks in advance, MDPS
  8. Okay thanks a lot and like I said, I'm no expert on phone screens lol but I'm glad I know this is the issue now. Thanks guys! Oh yikes! Luckily my touchscreen is still working (for now at least), but I'll probably get on backing stuff up. Thank you all again!
  9. Hey LTT. Just this morning I woke up to find my phone screen covered in this black and bluish something that almost completely obstructed the screen. I think the LCD screen might've leaked or something but I'm no expert on things like this (the smudges are below the top screen, and the touchscreen still works fine). Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks a ton in advance! Pics: http://imgur.com/a/27VTJ EDIT: By the way, it was working just fine last night, and it hasn't been dropped or anything since then.
  10. NVM about this. Mods please remove when you can.
  11. It's going to be hard starting from scratch if you don't know what parts are good specifically. I'd say start by checking out some of Linus' videos on certain parts (RAM, CPU, Motherboard, GPU, etc.) and work from there. One word of wisdom I can tell you is don't go AMD for your processor.
  12. Hey LTT, I need to repair a broken hard drive, the problem of which being a faulty PCB. I've gotten a replacement and now just need to move over the BIOS chip. Does anyone know of a repair shop that does this sort of thing for a reasonable price or will let me use their heat gun? I don't own any soldering tools myself but if I can't find any well priced locations I can buy some. I live in the US in Texas. Thanks for any help, MDPS
