  1. I don't know why you have problems with RAM. My problem was (with new ram), no Bios, no post, and it was dust problem. Again I don't know what kind of problem you have. If it's dust like with me, do be careful when you clean it. I have regular ddr3, and Intel CPU.
  2. I have 12 now. If you play Fallout without mods, 4k texture mods from Nexus, than 8 is enough, but if you add mods, edit inis like I did, than yeah, 12 is better. And I have 8 GB of VRAM. Alt+Tab to Opera is better too. More RAM can not fix everything but it helps. It depends what games are you playing, or are you using mods...
  3. OK. I think it should be like that, just was not sure (older motherboard)... I think I can set it in BIOS to work at 1.5.
  4. I have 2x4GB now. I would like to add more. Since I can not find KHX18C9T3K2/8X again... I need confirmation. Does it matter if my motherboard is old? I can still set it to work at 1.5V? I am talking about HX316LC10FB/4 (Kingston).
  5. So you had it to. I asked LG local support, and they told (guy on the phone) to test it more and call them on Monday again. He also said that it's first time somebody whit this problem, but he maybe did not understand me or doesn't know. Maybe I will send it back. NTF5252, what phone?
  6. I have new LG Magna. After any normal sound from phone (when I unlock screen for example) there is strange sound several seconds after. I can hear it, but it's not loud. If I turn off sounds on phone, or plug in headphones I can not hear it. It's speaker and I don't how to describe it. I don't want to send it back and wait for them to fix it. But maybe I should? Did anyone had this problem before? I can not find anything. There is no sim card in phone...
  7. I don't think NVIDIA is evil. Strong word. As consumer I prefer the way AMD handles, some things. I think Hairworks is one example. I think they make good products, but I don't like to be locked in. And since AMD's market share is not good I am using 390, and not 970, and please don't start again about 390 vs 970...
  8. I had 290X for several months, from Asus. X version is more hot than no X version? I now have MSI 390, but not as long as previous GPU. It's better. With 290X highest was 87, one time only. With 390 it is 77. I have Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - 1 intake, and 2 outtake. Plus nets to keep dust out. I can add 3 more, don't know if I need it, and how much it would help, but I will see in summer.
  9. As far as I can see Sapphire is offering two versions of 390. One with core clock 1010, and one 1040 with backplate. MSI also has two version, but I don't know much about LE version. Anyway. Version from MSI has default clock 1040, but it can also work in Silent mode 1000 core clock, and OC mode core clock is 1060, and memory i 6100 (defult is 6000). So bigger factory overclock on MSI. There are other differences...
  10. afyeung, I have it for month and I don't have issues with it now. 77 was highest temperature and fans at 67% during testing, not regular use... Here is one screen shot. I am waiting for summer and 5 hours of gameplay with it to see how is going to work than. I had one hour test with it.
  11. There was another topic with same answers... LOL. I have one. My choices were MSI or Asus at that time. MSI is shorter so it was my choice based on that. Since many people recommend Sapphire go with that. I am satisfied with my card. I have only 1 month of experience with it. So far I don't have heat issues, but I will have to wait and see....
  12. My fan on 390 never worked at 100% (unless I use MSI Afterburner and change it). Don't remember about 290X. I have 1280x1024 resolution, but I don't think that affects temperature. 290X was tested in summer, and used in summer, and 390 in winter. Will see what happens next...
  13. My 290X was never that hot, never over 90. My MSI 390, never over 80. But I still need to test 390.
  14. I don't know than, as I said it could be something else. But if you are not using your GPU I don't think it's normal for core clock to be 755. If for me is 300 on 390... As I said first I reinstalled drivers, and my core clock was 500, and and mem clock 1500. That was better. So after that I tried with removing evrything that could use or change clock on my GPU. I never used DDU, so I don't know if you should use it, maybe somebody else can tell you more about it or offer some other solution.
  15. After one hour test today 77 was the highest temp, fan speed at 67%. It usually is 70-75.
