  1. Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B75M-D3H (Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz) 28 °C Version F4 I think he said.
  2. The graphics card works, once he switched to the Legacy Boot Bios, he is able to boot into his computer with the GTX1070.
  3. Friend recently bought a 1070 but ran into some issues installing. It would always get stuck on Mobo splash screen until he switched bios to Legacy Boot Mode, but now his RealTek Sound drivers show a Code 10 error and no sound is playing from his computer. Speakers and headphones do not show under playback devices, and his blue yeti shows to be a speaker under said playback devices. We have followed almost everything we could find on the internet regarding troubleshooting, but nothing seems to be fixing it. Is there anything else we should try?
  4. You're right, it is a laptop. It's also been a while since I've cleaned it. The day this started happening though, I ran Windows Defender and Malwarebytes and both of them came up clean so I don't think the problem lies with a virus. I'll definitely try cleaning out my computer though. Thank you for the help!
  5. http://imgur.com/J5Sxf5S I dont really know what to look for. Mind helping me out?
  6. Certain programs take longer than others to load. And it's not just that it takes longer, it takes a REALLY long time, like, 20 minutes later. Chrome, my Runescape Client, and not much else. But I also have this other issue where File Explorer crashes on right click, whether it be on an empty space or a file. Even when I try to bypass right click by left clicking the file to select it and then going to the file top on the top of the explorer, this too causes file explorer to crash. Is there any test that I can run to determine the source of the problem, or has anyone also experienced this before. Either Google can't help me or my Google-fu is weak. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  7. Honestly couldn't wait, had classwork to do, and I had no computer. Also, it'd be very difficult to get pics. It's basically the four little feet that are touching the mobo because that's where the screws are being held, with the backplate bulging out, the part with no tape facing out towards the side panel. Instead of insulation tape on it, I put scotch vertically across the whole thing. If you're saying for the compatibility aspect of it, it's a Hyper 212 Evo http://cdn.overclock.net/d/d5/500x1000px-LL-d5eb8c32_installation2.jpeg this is what it looks like.
  8. On the backplate, the clear sticker, which I assume is the insulation tape came half off. For the moment, I put regular scotch tape in place, but since I'm using an i5-4690k, and that part of the backplate is not making direct contact with the mobo, I though it'd be safe for now. I just ordered this replacement kit off their website. But for some reason the 1150 is not listed in the supported thing, but I'm pretty sure this is it. Can I get some confirmation that this backplate can be used as a replacement for the one I currently have in my system? Also, if someone could tell me if that was actually dangerous, yknow, taking the tape off and replacing it with scotch tape even though it's not making contact with the mobo. Thanks in advance.
  9. wat, I started with my SSD, so my OS is on there. All I want, is to have my "User" folder on my HDD. So I can download stuff with no problem on my HDD
  10. Title says it all. I'm on Windows 8, and I started with my SSD as the only storage device because I was waiting for my HDD to come in the mail. Now, all my user profiles and stuff are stored on the SSD, and I don't really want to do that. I got my games, and my Windows OS on there, and that's all I want.
  11. Just reinstalled windows really quick and then only installed nvidia graphics, and the killer lan. None of that intel stuff i did before. Working now
  12. I literally just built the pc, but I guess I can just reinstall windows...
  13. This is most likely it. It says network driver in the connections page. How would I go about switching it?
