After my research I've arrived at the "msi gaming X" one. Its moderately priced and a good value for what you get. Personally I think the Asus might be better but them having a OC and non-OC version of the same card and having heard some bad stuff about their customer supp., buying from them just doesn't sit well with me. MSI seemed more straight forward and seem to have good customer support (Based on multiple Forum posts dont take my word for it).

Trying to flash my 980ti as a last resort before RMA'ing the thing. Since a few days fans are out of control. They either stay in silent mode so at 0, or they ramp up to 100 under any load. So trying to fix that with a bios flash. Gigabyte gives me download for official BIOS Link:http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5472#bios Problem is gigabyte utilities dont work. Both EasyBoost and @-Bios cant find my gpu and thus cant backup or flash my BIOS. Now I know that nvflash can be used BUT... The Gigabyte Bios comes in .f4 files and all I've seen people use with nvflash were .rom files... Has anybody used a 3rd party app for the official gigabyte bios or is it impossible?

Rule of thumb: Always buy the single most powerful GPU you can afford. Can you afford a GTX 980TI without limiting yourself financially? Then go for it...
