Okay Im currently taking an A+ hardware support class to get the basics for the comptia test. The book we have is covering thinges that I really feel are so outdated that it really isn't needed to know it. For cpus it's most recent intel covered is the 3rd Gen Sandy bridge. Yes I know the average user doesn't have gaming rigs. But how relevant is learning things about ivy and Sandy bridge and older ones when the current generation is at haswell and skylake? I mean it's still talking about agp slots on a mb. Do they even make mbs with those anymore? I'm just worried I wasted my money on the class and I'm starting to really struggle to force myself to go to class mainly due to lack of interest in learning outdated tech.

To the guys hating on asetek. Look at the picture on page one! If you were asked to pick out the different parts and had no knowledge prior to doing so you'd be unable to do so. Don't get me wrong I like CM. But come on, it's clear they copied the design almost exactly only changing a few parts here an there. If I had made the design I'd also be pissed that someone was basically stealing my idea and calling there own!

So in his video linus said he built a case from scratch then sent it to proto case I think? Yeah I know linus can get things built that the "normal" person cant. Is proto case a private like company just for select things like businesses or could the average person send them a sketch of a case and they'll build them it? If not are there any companies that for a reasonable price able to built you your own case from the ground up with the pieces you pick and the specs you want???

Hmm that's a very good point. So from your view having both a gpu and cpu line isn't able to be financially do able? What about keeping the lines but splitting the company so the cpu and gpu divisions were basically there own company that would be traded as seperate companies? That way the income from one wouldn't effect the other. But they'd still be very closely related.

Because let's use are heads for a second. You get approached by Nvidia or intel and given a product to keep. All they ask for is you to make a video about said product and maybe you'll get more in the future. They don't say you HAVE to give it a good review. But what would your mind say? Wow I just got this new top of the line card from these guys. I'd love to get more stuff from them! Maybe I should go a little easy on them when I review this as I don't think they'd like it if I slam the product. They might not give me another in the future if I totally rip this one. See where this goes??? While they don't say how you need to review the product the fact you get it for free does have an effect on your mind set. It's human nature and not some shady practice. With that being said though yes it can turn shady because the company knows that they can use free products to get positive reviews.

We simply want to make sure you dot your i and cross your ts. I know you'd NEVER let the fact you got the product for free effect the review! We are simply voicing the concern so don't take it personal. We only want to make sure you don't get in trouble and don't look like your doing anything shadey. The front does come off yes, but the cage itself looks very rivited in place. The entire cage looks like it was one piece. I have no problem breaking the case to get the cage out but would rather not. Don't feel like ruining the look of the case.

I read an interesting article a while back that talked about how consoles will be killed eventually by cell phones!? It was say that eventually phones will have enough power to play games as well or better then a console and sense everyone has a cell phone devs will target them instead seeing as its a larger market. What do you guys think. Also with current cell tech if we were to take the best cells cpu, gpu, and Jerry rig some type of set up built only to play games what Era of console performance would we get?

Why not??? If you bought up AMD as Intel you'd have the full GPU department and unlike now. You could throw real money at there R&D department and see what they could do. If I was a tech company I'd be first in line to buy AMD. I'd can the CPU section and focuse on GPU. You basically have the second best maker of GPUs sitting there, all you gotta do is spend some money. I mean you'd have an already existing line of products that work and are keeping it's company alive. You'd be gaurnted not to lose money. You basically for lack of a better term have a gpu company in a box no assembly required.

With all the launch of the fury x and it running only 4gb I think AMD is in serious trouble. Yeah they are still gonna be around for at least 5 more years but I really am worried that they are dying a very slow death. At this point in time I can't see AMD living for another 10 years. It seems as if Zen is pretty much a make or break product. If it fails I think they're done. What are your thoughts? Can they survive if Zen fails to perform?

First off I will delete this if this turns into an insult thread. I want to know if anyone else here also have ASD, autism spectrum disorder? I'm 26 and have ASD. It just feels like I'm alone and no one else out in the world struggles with the same issues. Just looking to know I'm not as alone as I feel sometimes.
