  4. So I have a Mac Mini (Late 2014), currently I have an external ssd acting as the startup disk, all of my stiff is saved onto this ssd as well. how do i move everything to the built in hard drive and reboot the os on the hard drive. basically i want to move everything from the external ssd on to the built in hard drive. thanks
  5. hey guys So recently I bought a MacMini and in order to make it quicker I bought a Samsung EVO 120gb SSD which is connected via a USB3 from an enclosure. Now I've already configured the SSD to be the boot drive, how do I now use the internal hard drive for storage purposes I'm running OS X Yosemite Thanks

  7. Yeah, I decided to buy the 2012 Mac Mini and then upgrade the RAM and SSD both internally since it's much easier on the 2012 MacMini
  8. That's why I'm planning on using an external SSD.mim just not sure how to actually boot from an SSD
  9. Are you saying to use Thunderbolt instead of USB??
  10. So will I not be able to use the hard drive in the Mac Mini when I reinstall Yosemite via the external SSD. Ie: will I be able to use the 500gb storage as well as the 250gb SSD (for example)?
  11. So would I just connect an external SSD via USB or thunderbolt and then just reinstall Yosemite on the SSD?
  12. This seems like the safer option. How would I do this?
  13. The upgrade Apple provide is the Fusion Drive which is £200 extra. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure this is extremely overpriced. Can some one link a step by step guide or video to upgrade the SSD as I think doing it myself would be the best option
  14. So how would I upgrade the SSD, is it easy to do since I'm not very advanced with hardware upgrades
  15. Hey Guys So I want to get the Mac Mini and was watching some reviews on YouTube. I got tons of mixed opinions some saying that it was slow and others saying it worked really well. Here are the specs of the model I'll be using: 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5. (Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) with 3MB on-chip shared L3 cache 4GB memory 500GB hard drive1 Intel HD Graphics 5000 I'll be using it for many school work as well browsing the Internet, streaming shows and movies and listening to music. So what do you guys think, will I be fine with these specs?
