Grab this with a A10-7300($50 adder).  If you feel generous go ahead and pop the extra $40 for 8GB of RAM.

You could buy a "cheaper" pre-assembled system from ncix with room to grow.  And change out parts 1 at a time where you see fit.  That way you get your reliability on the first startup, and if there ever is an issue after a hardware change the problem can be pinpointed .  There are plenty of people out there willing to help, myself included

If you want it to be cheaper you could get a 280x instead of a 970.

That's fine. If it were me I would try to get an i5. This is actually what I would do:

Note: 4GB is fine provided you actually run a clean system, but it's a quick and easy upgrade to 8 the very moment you need it. Some people will dislike the choice, but IMO it's worth it to get an i5, which is super important in my opinion.

edit: whoops, for some reason there were 2 HDDs in the first build. Fixed. I'd still go with 4GB of memory to start with so long as, again, you run a clean system. That's the easiest thing in the world to upgrade down the line as you just slap more in. Replacing CPU/GPU/PSU/MoBo requires rreplacing components instead of adding to, which is hugely more expensive. This should do fine for pretty much any game at 1080p at max (or near max) settings.
