if you want to future proof your build. maybe get a 750w would be a safe option for future upgrades. also dont cheap out on your psu. always get something reliable with very good reviews. I always reccommend my friends to buy seasonic psu. very good psu brand. longer warranty period than most other brands.

would reccommend a 650w psu but 600 will do for your build.

cant decide which optiplex should I buy for my plex media server and *arr automations. will be streaming 720p/1080p only with subtitle. only 2 people will be using it. is the optiplex 980 enough for around 2-4 1080p simultaneously mostly to another PC / chrome cast / smart phones. Dell Optiplex 980 : CPU: Intel i5-650 CPU @ 3.20GHz RAM: 4GB Storage: None Price: ¥2,780(around $22) Dell Optiplex 3010: CPU: Intel i3 3220 CPU 3.30GHz RAM: 4GB Storage: 250GB HDD Price: ¥5,300 (around $42) Dell Optiplex 3010: CPU: Intel i5-2500K 3.3Ghz RAM: 4GB Storage: 250GB SSD Price: ¥6,000(around $47) Dell Optiplex 7010 : CPU: Intel i3-3240 3.40GHz RAM: 4GB Storage: 500GB HDD Price: ¥6,000(around $55) Dell Optiplex 3020: CPU: Intel i5-4160CPU @ 3.60GHz RAM: 8GB Storage: 500GB HDD Price: ¥7,500(around $59)

maybe find a hdmi output to usb-c input adapter with an external power source. this is what I found: https://www.siig.com/hdmi-to-usb-c-port-4k-60hz-converter-adapter.html

try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and reinstall you GPU driver. your CPU MIGHT be the bottleneck in this case.

if both on you play games together and are good friends. 80-100 is nice considering both of you are happy with the sale. in the end your friendships are more important. so if both of you are happy with $100 then sure! loosing money is better than loosing a good friend.
-
not really, the i5-3570k performs better when comparing with the amd fx-6300.
-
this is a good start. the cpu and gpu pairs nicely. the i5-12400F is perfectly fine for this build, but going for the i5-12600 might be a nicer choice. for your MB, if you are sure you are not going to add more ram in the future, then it is fine. but if you are planning on adding more rams in the future. consider a MB with 4 slots. if you're on tight budget, a 250GB sata SSD + 1TB HDD OR a 1TB sata SSD might be a little cheaper depending on where you live. 1TB NVMe SSD is not really necessarily, but its nice to have. your PSU on the other hand, is not a very good PSU. NEVER cheap out on a PSU, because if your PSU in not reliable, your whole pc can die. also I would go for at least 700w psu just to be safe. but for this build a 650w is recommended. personally I really like the seasonic psu. but still, check out the PSU tier list:

well, if you prefer that then its "YOUR PREFERENCE" not mine. I still prefer a 1080p 144hz monitor anytime. 1440p 144hz would be a nice upgrade. just saying, it's "MY PREFERENCE" so I don't really care what you like or prefer. we don't have to agree on the same thing. you have your onw preference, that's a good thing.

PC Freezes after setting up ram at 3600mhz
HelloPeople replied to lexmaun's topic in Troubleshooting
the 3700x supports up to 3200mhz so setting your ram to 3600 be unstable. it will either crash or freeze like what you've experienced. you have to be very lucky to be able to run 3600mhz on a 3700x and B450. you can either set the ram to 3200mhz. or buy a new set of ram with 3200mhz CL16 and sell the old ones. because your current ram's CAS latency is CL18. and 3200mhz with CL16 or even CL14 is better for ryzen cpus
