  1. Hi, I was wondering if using a pair of audio technica anc 9 for gaming and vr would be a good idea. Do they have good spatial sound for games that need it like counter strike ? Will the active noise cancelling and comfort help with vr immersion significantly? ****NOTE**** I already have a pair and would rather not buy another pair of headphones
  2. the vive comes with earbuds but headphone are much more immersive
  3. Hi, Im looking for the best headphones/Headset for the htc vive and general gaming. My budget is $150 USD at the most. Should I get 'gaming headphones' (the Logitech artemis spectrum is the only one i like) or should i get more traditional headphones and a separate mic in the same budget? and if so what should i get?
  4. My spare router doesn't so I guess I can't do this
  5. Is it possible to connect 2 routers together over wifi with 1 router connected to the Internet and the other conected to a computer so the computer connects to the Internet?
  6. So I need help to turn one of my old routers (a 2wire 2700hg-b) into a range extender/repeater. I want it to connect my computer (that has no wireless connection) to the Internet via the old router and a Ethernet cable(my computer is a floor above my main router) How do I do this??
  7. Have you ever tried a flagship vr headset? The games might look like wii games but the experience and immersion makes buying the headset almost worth it. Also the reason the games aren't the best is because VR is such a new thing there has not been enough time for developers to experiment, optimize and develop the games we want. There have been developers who are trying to use nvidia 3D vision in there games /experiences like Everest VR
  8. definitely not gonna happen considering that the GTX line of cards are for gaming and the mac is not for gaming they will probably just add a new quadro or a new fire pro since macs are made for Video/picture/audio editing (thats why apple makes final cut ,motion, etc)
  9. So you never did a stupid tech related act ?? unless Linus gave birth to you i don't see how thats possible
  10. Just to Clarify: that post is about dealing with people who still haven't found the light while this post is about stupid things you did before you found the light
  11. Since none of us came out of the womb a techie (except for Linus of course) , I was wondring what stupid things you guys did/said before Linus showed you the light of the techie world . When I was younger one of my cousin asked me what specs of a laptop is good and I told him that for the laptop to be any good the cpu must say Intel and the numbers after the word intel were meaningless I also said the graphics card must say AMD or Nvidia and the numbers and letters after those words were also meaningless and for the ram i told him you don't need to worry about the amount since you can always download more. I remember also telling him to get the smallest capacity hard drive since it would make the computer run faster and so he spent his savings on a really horrible laptop(he still hates me for this).
  12. I think you just answed your question
  13. Is this a programming class or is it a hardware class or just computers in general and how to use them?
  14. Your idea wouldn't work since low latency is necessary without it you will experience all kinds of motion sicknes and you won't feel immersed at all. one of the reasons the vive is (arguably) the best vr experiences out there is because of the almost zero latency with the screen, the game, the controllers ,etc
