  1. Kinguin or G2A are my go-to options, but if you really want to save a buck you can find a key on ebay for under $5. The key basically either works or it doesn't, and these sellers have so many keys that they'll just send you another if the first doesn't work. I don't blame you if you don't want to use ebay but I wanted to make sure you were aware.
  2. First step in troubleshooting is usually to see if it boots, and if you say it looks good then I would go ahead and see if it fires up. I wouldn't be surprised if it was considered 'broken' because of a bad hard drive or something of that sort
  3. Hi all, I was wondering if it makes any sense for me to get 2 NVME drives for my rig. I'm currently downsizing, and my new case is so small that it only supports M.2 drives. I have the ASUS ROG STRIX X570-I, which has 2 M.2 slots. From what I understand, one is linked to the chipset and one is linked to the CPU itself. Ideally I would like to have a 500GB PCIE 4.0 boot drive, and a 2TB PCIE 3.0 storage drive. I'm posting this because I'm still unsure if I will even reach full speeds with this configuration. I'd be totally willing to just get a 2TB SATA M.2 drive, but as far as I can tell they are almost exactly the same price and I'd love to get the extra speeds of an NVME drive if it doesn't cost any extra. Also, I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 2600X (I know it doesn't support PCIE 4 but I plan on upgrading to a 3900X eventually) Thanks!
  4. Do you have your memory installed properly? Consult your motherboard manual, but it typically should be installed in an -X-X or X-X- pattern, and installing the stick right next to each other (--XX) can cause problems
  5. (Yes, I am already planning on using the SG13B ) But awesome! Thank you! Do you think 600W gives headroom for an OC still?
  6. Most likely Amazon, but I'm completely open to other big brand places like Newegg, Best Buy, the manufacturers themselves, etc. I'm mostly looking for what wattage I need and how much headroom I'll have for an OC
  7. I've been researching SFX PSUs for the past week or so, and I've gotten so many mixed results on how much power I need. Power supplies seem to be really expensive right now but I need to downsize my rig for when I move into a dorm room. My current (important) parts are a Ryzen 5 2600X and an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW, and I plan on eventually upgrading to 4th gen Ryzen when it becomes available. So assuming my CPU was a 3950X for the time being, what power supply would you recommend? Also is it actually in stock anywhere at a reasonable price? Thanks!
  8. I couldn't find Asus Overclocking Profile, but I did notice while I was in the BIOS that for some reason my CPU is set at 1.378V. Very strange considering I've never tinkered with overclocks or overvolts on this board. Rebooting now to see if that fixes the issue, but it should take about an hour of playing GTA for a solid answer.
  9. I built it, and it's gone through a fair amount of revisions. The most recent is from an i5-6500 and ASUS Z170-A to the current board and CPU. The issue still didn't occur until about 3 or 4 weeks after that upgrade.
  10. Could you be a little bit more specific?
  11. Ever since about a month ago, I have been having issues with Windows 10 randomly freezing. The specific times I've noticed this is while playing Minecraft, logging into Windows, and especially playing GTA V. The only fix that I have found so far is rebooting, but the computer just freezes at some point again. I can verify this isn't a temperature issue, because I ran an Aida64 stress test on the CPU, GPU, memory, and storage for over 9 hours last night without any freezes. I've tried Googling this issue with no results that have fixed the issue. I am also fairly certain this has nothing to do with software, because I tried this with a fresh SSD and a fresh Windows install, which froze the moment it reached the desktop. I have also tried reseating the CPU and GPU to no avail. There was also some brief mention of Broadcom wireless cards causing issues with the latest Windows 10 update, but my system still froze even with my wireless card completely removed. I feel like I have tried everything yet the system still freezes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! 12. https://www.kinguin.net/category/19429/windows-10-professional-oem-key/ This will get you the OEM version, not the Retail version. The only real difference is that you won't be able to transfer this license to another computer, it gets ties to the hardware you first assign it to.
