  1. Get a better PSU. Shit PSUs can make shit not work.
  2. What is the PSU? Buying 2 used "working" GPUs, and both are defective seems like there's an issue with your system.
  3. Nvidia Quadro FX1500 (released April 2006) still work with Windows 10. So no, a GTX 770 works fine with Windows 10. Something is either up with your PC, or both of your GTX 770s are defective. What is your PSU?
  4. There are 2 8pin peripheral connectors. 1 is a 6pin + 2 pin, (you can split into 2pin and a 4pin connectors), this is for Graphics cards. (Labelled as PCIe on Corsair PSU Cables) 1 is a 4pin + 4 pin, (you can split it into 2 4 pin connectors), this is used for CPU, and it sometimes called EPS (Labelled as CPU on Corsair PSU Cables) You will see "Type 3", or "Type 4" on the PSU end of Corsair PSU Cables Make sure you aren't confusing the 2. You can plug a PCie 8pin connector into a 8pin CPU connector, and these are completely opposite pinouts.
  5. Your CPU at 100% has nothing to do with the PSU. What is the prebuilt model? a 150W PSU in build that uses a GTX 1660 Super doesn't sound right.
  6. Have you installed a PCIe SSD? That might be using the lanes allocated to that slot
  7. Ebay has plenty of options. I just looked up "Macbook Air 2013 SSD Adaptor" https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/313510121130 Also, check that it is a Mid 2013 Macbook Air. A Mid 2012 will need a different adaptor (As it is SATA based, whereas 2013 moved to PCIe SSDs)
  8. The Cisco Switch is a Layer 2 switch. So no, it cannot work as a router. (Layer 3 Switches can work as a router, though they can be limited in what they can do) Do a Cisco CCNA cert, or just watch Cisco CCNA tutorials on YouTube. They will teach you the basics of how to set up a switch. Maybe also mess around with Cisco Packet Tracer. Cisco, HP, Aruba, TP-Link... will all have online reference guides for configuring their switches or routers over command-line. (Also keep in mind, different vendors switches/routers will have slightly different configurations commands and will behave slightly differently) Maybe buy a router, or another Access Point? I think a lot of home networks are more just do whatever as a learning experience. Really, you upgrade when you get more free or cheap hardware. Or alternatively, when what you have is giving you the shits.
  9. No, Lets make a new account. It can be a pain in the arse to disconnect a connected account. Open Computer management, go to users right click and select new user Then go to groups, click on Administrators, and add the newly created account
  10. Easiest way to create a windows account that is online (while installing windows) is disconnect it from the internet, then it won't ask you. But you can create an offline account by selecting creating an account for someone else, and you don't know their sign in details.
  11. I would wager; most people whose whose PSU dies after 5 years: Can't remember where they bought their PSU from, Moved to a new computer and have gifted the old machine to someone else, Don't think it is worth the hassle of starting an RMA, and/or the cost of shipping to RMA it (if you live in a country where the cost of the return is not burdened on the retailer or manufacturer) Corsair and Kingston used to have life-time warranties on their RAM for that reason. I know people who are still using original Antec Earthwatts from 2006 (Not in modern PCs). I think they have a 3 year warranty or something.

Someone at Melbourne Water in 1899 was slack...…

It is xD. I would put it down to lost records, but Jeff pulling a sickie so he could spend a 4 day weekend at Lakes or something is really the Australian way (Lakes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakes_Entrance,_Victoria)
  13. You could enable target disk mode, which will make your laptop into an external HDD. Your laptop won't boot into an OS when you do that. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1443/mac

Yeah, I think so too. 29/12 is missing, and 30/12 isn’t abnormally high

  15. Give them to someone who needs a phone, or sell them. Mining on a phone is useless: https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/28/21239866/htc-exoudus-1s-monero-mining-cryptocurrency-blockchain-phone
  16. The Great Wall and CWT CX450's preform very similarly. They exist alongside each-other because neither manufacturer could deal with the supply enough PSUs to cover demand.
  17. a DVI to HDMI adaptor should costs like $2. DVI and HDMI are exactly the same signal wise, so you don't need an active adaptor (DP also has a DVI/HDMI and sometimes a VGA mode too)
  18. Yeah, try and get something like a HD 7950/HD 7970/R9 280/R9 280x. You can probably get them for around $50 to $70US, and are still pretty decent cards. GTX 670, GTX 680, GTX 770 and GTX 760 are also decent choices, but I would try and opt for the 4GB models of those cards.
  19. There's hacky ways of getting an eGPU on older laptops, but really, just no. It isn't a laptop at that point, and it really isn't a PC that should be used long term at that point, just a proof of concept.
  20. Where are you? I would not buy a HD 6750 or HD 6770 for $30USD, but that is location specific.
  21. You don't need a 750W PSU. A 650W is way more than enough, Why do you use both a GTX 1660 Super and a GTX750ti? Do you have more than 4 display?
  22. What is your PC specs, and what is the PSU? The PSU sounds like it is shutting off as a protective measure. That could mean that your PSU is not up to snuff and cannot delivery transient power spikes (Not broken, just not good enough - likely not a wattage issue), or there could be something else is wrong in your PC
  23. PCIe sound cards are really just a scam these days Buy an external DAC, or just buy a more expensive motherboard with better onboard.
