    And it shows up in BIOS? That's baffling. Maybe you will need to download some chipset drivers? Check ASRock's support page for the motherboard and look for them. If that doesn't work I would try a Linux live USB and see if the drive is visible from there. If it still isn't there I'm out of ideas, try more SATA ports?

    Looks like you opened a can of worms.  Go into safe mode and see what drives you see under there, then report back.  Well fix you up no worries.
