  1. Corsair H60 okay? This is my first build so I'm not really comfortable enough to do a custom loop, but I do absolutely love the look of them and will do one in in my next build when i have a little more experience.
  2. Hello everyone, I've been planning a pc build for quite some time now and am looking into an AIO water cooler for my cpu. I'll be using an I5 6500 which I know there's no need to watercool for temps, but I want an AIO for aesthetics. So i'd like to know what the quietest and most reliable cheap AIOs are. thanks in advance!
  3. so this is pretty much what we came up with? plus one of those fans you told me to get (the two cheap ones can go in the front where they're not seen and the good one will go in the back. 4. I've heard things about the trition leaking. i actually watched that video last night and did some research on it.
  5. Everything but the cooler looks great. I Understand that air cooling is probably better from a cost and performance standpoint, but liquid cooling is a must for me aesthetically. Especially if im going to have a case window i don't want a huge air cooler taking up the entire window.
  6. I've been trying to finalize this build for a LONG time. I think I've finally found a sweet spot as far as performance, price, and aesthetics. PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/h9CV6X CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.89 @ OutletPC) (Should I go with a 6500? whats the cost/benefit of upgrading this?) CPU Cooler: Corsair H50 57.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($59.99 @ Newegg) (I need to have watercooling for looks and this seemed like a good choice) Motherboard: MSI B150M ECO Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($66.99 @ Amazon) (This MOBO any good? I like the black & White colors) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($34.99 @ Amazon) (White DDR4 Memory, Pretty self-Explanatory) Storage: A-Data Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($57.99 @ NCIX US) (I never use more than 180 GB of storage, so a HDD didn't seem necessary) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card ($279.99 @ Newegg) (This seems a bit overkill, but i love this card. Maybe the 960 version?) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($64.99 @ Directron) (This is the case i'm using. no substitutions.) Power Supply: Corsair RMx 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($94.95) (Want to custom sleeve in the future so i had to go fully modular) Case Fan: Corsair Air Series White 2 pack 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($15.88 @ OutletPC) ( Cheap Fans that fit the color scheme) Case Fan: Corsair Air Series White 2 pack 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($15.88 @ OutletPC) (Ditto) Total: $871.54 Look good? anyone have changes or suggestions for the build? I'm trying to begin acquiring the parts within a month so i'd like to get this list finalized as soon as i can.
  7. if you already have a working PC you can make a bootable drive of windows to a 32 (maybe has to be 64?) GB flash drive and get a product key for $25 off kinguin. http://www.kinguin.net/category/18536/windows-8-1-standard-oem-key/
  8. Changed the case and memory, shouldnt i go with 2X4GB sticks to be able to use dual channel memory? 9. okay so the cpu is worth about $110, that would bring the budget up to $720 mark, is that doable?
  10. I was going to do that but I thought that a 6 core cpu would be a little out of that budget range, and if i already had it why wouldn't i use it? Also the budget is $600.
  11. Hello everyone, I recently took apart and got rid of my family's old house PC, a gateway setup from 2010 and am looking to build a new one, combining old parts from that pc with new ones to create a much better upgrade. I have a budget of $600 for the computer itself. The parts that i think are usable from the old computer are as follows: > AMD Phenom II X6 1065T CPU > 6 cores, AM3 Socket. > More specs: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom II X6 1065T - HDT65TWFK6DGR.html > 3X 2GB Kingston DDR3 RAM Everything else was either damaged or seemed useless. The PSU was attached to the case with rivets, so I was unable to use that and the Hard drives from that PC are over 5 years old so im looking for new ones. This is a build that I've quickly put together, but nothing but those two components listed above are final. All help would be appreciated and thank you in advance for all your help.
  12. Oh alright then. That last one actually looks pretty close to perfect. I'm also happy that ill get to sleeve the cables due to the case window. should look prettty good. Thanks again for all your help.
  13. RX 480 is the graphics Card then? i cant seem to find anywhere to buy it...
  14. This is what I planned: $500-600 for the tower $200-300 for peripherals Approx $1000 total when its all said and done. So this is kinda a mashup of the two you guys sent in: CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Rosewill RCX-Z775-LP 33.5 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($10.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($45.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($26.99 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Xion XON-310_BK MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($22.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 450W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.88 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Fractal Design FD-FAN-SSR3-92-WT 24.4 CFM 92mm Fan ($3.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $281.82 The thing is it still needs a graphics card and im willing to spend a bit more, so i think a $200 graphics card in this build would be bottlenecked by something right? Maybe the extra budget could be distributed to get maybe an i5 and a smaller graphics card? Thanks for all the help already everyone. Edit: The case and budget can fit a GTX 950 but i think that might be a bit much lol http://pcpartpicker.com/product/QWbkcf/evga-video-card-02gp42958kr
  15. AS stated, around $500-600 plus peripherals
