  1. Same here on Samsung CF791, 34" 100hz. I leave my pc running 24/7 so I don't get it but I just left for a week and turned the damn thing off. Now I can't get rid of those fkn lines and the whole bottom is fucked. Such pieces of shit these gaming monitors, i paid like 700 EUR for this fkn dog. I'm gonna go to the nearest samsung center and throw the fucked thru their expensive big glass window, cunt motherfuckers, can't build a fucking display anymore. Pieces of shjitl;. So, this is an overclocked display. Samsung sells it as 100hz while it can only do 60hz without bugs. Or, IT CAN ONLY DO 100HZ FOR 2 YEARS, just enough for the warranty to expire and you get the shaft. Nice job Samsung for scamming your users, selling overpriced POS. Samsung TV is the same, LG years ahead in the software. I will fuck one of your stores and beat up a random employee to get my 700 euros worth off. You fucked with the wrong psychopath.
  2. Sometimes mine we're also flickering like crazy when using the 1st sli connection posts. Switched to 2nd posts and problem was gone. I am using the 1st posts again now with no flickering.... so can't explain any of it.
  3. They should both run at x8 IMO. Since the middle blue slot will be unpopulated I don't see why the bottom slot could not run it. I don't think it's hardware limited to 4x only... like if you only run 1gpu in that slot it will get x4 link speed? Makes no sense. I would email MSI and ask them specifically to be sure though. Just say that you want to run 2 980's in the 1st blue slot and the bottom last blue slot. Ask them if the cards will get x8 link speed as normal or is the bottom pci-e slot gimped? Nvidia had a "Secret" press announcement some weeks back and they we're announcing the gtx 990 (or how it will be called). It will have 2 x 980 ti gpu's on the same pcb if they release it. Altought clocked lower then 2 x 980ti normal cards. Maybe someone with more knowledge on this can shed more light.
  4. If they will fit physically it would work. So GPU1 on top blue slot, gpu2 in bottom one, pci sound cards in between the gfx cards. The only thing i'm worried about is the top black pci slot becoming covered by GPU1. Can't tell properly from those pics. Why not wait for the new dual gpu card they'll release and get one of those instead of 2x TI's?
  5. By PCI sound cards i assume you mean pci-e? Not the old pci ones? If they are old pci slot then it will be impossible to find a board with 2 pci-e slots and 2 unobstructed old style PCI slots. If you mean pci-e then you have the asrock x99ws or the asus x99-e ws. Both would have room for what you need but are X99. I don't think the z97/z170 would be able to run that setup.
  6. He's just a old geek with a crush on AMD obviously. He wants an all amd build, which I can understand. If he says it's purely for performance then it's clearly bs.
  7. They all perform the same nowadays (same series vs series not 49$ gigabyte vs 200$ asus). Just pick the one with the color scheme you like the most
  8. Just use the older version of utorrent, without all the ads and bullshit. v2.2.1 i think. If you're running a seedbox then libtorrent is definately the best.
  9. Hope you will get everything running tiptop tommorow. Cheers
  10. Yeah... i'm on the original first release bios myself and don't feel like updating since everything's working well here. Guess 8.1 is where it's at for these cards.
  11. Damn. The overclock alone can't account for that. I'm just sorry i didn't save a screenshot of a default clocks firestrike run (i only have oc ones)... I'd say it's a software issue. Try the latest bios for your mb or better yet win8.1 /win 10 pro I can't explain why but i got shit results myself with clean win7 install when i tried. I was trying to gain better scores then windows 10 and thought win7 would definately be faster and give more points but didn't happen... lost almost 2000 points and deleted the install on the spot... lol
  12. You should have the ez update asus software thing on the cd. That's how it's called for my x99 sabertooth. Mobo should be fine if everything is up and running. Don't know how it could degrade performance unless you are crashing all over the place in games & stuff. BTW: not a gsync user here. Does it cap the framerate at 144? Did you ever see over 144 fps in the 3dmark run? Put an 3dm ultra run also to compare when pushing it harder. That way the gsync 144fps stuff will be out of the question found a 1472 boost run to compare
  13. Weird. +20mhz should not have crashed. I see you've got more then enough power in there also. Do you have the latest bios on for you motherboard? Version 2601 is the latest. You should see it in cpu-z / mainboard tab. They noted it improved system stability so maybe it could help... lol
  14. Looks good temp wise from those graphs i can make out. I don't see any throttling, card is boosting fine. Definately a low score though. Does gpuz show the link speed as x16 3.0? Haven't used win7 for ages but i got a lower score then with my old 8.1 when i tried. I am now on win10. Maybe you could try a fresh 8.1 pro / win10 install and see how it goes with that one and the latest nvidia drivers 358.59.
  15. Try updating to your mb's latest bios if you haven't. Also move the sli bridge to the 2nd connectors afterwards if it still does it. The motherboard should support SLI with x8 for each lane. GPU-z should show x8 in there, check that also.
