Well, it's not an 'old' pc and the AP is technically plugged into a switch, not directly to the pfSense box.

I actually got the controller software installed and running in FreeBSD (pfSense) but it was kind of flaky. More pics in sig (I've since replaced the Supermicro board with an Intel D2500CC).

If you want people to prove that their benchmarks are legit, ask them to write their name on piece of paper, stick it on their monitor, then record the benchmark with a camcorder.

Any screenshot can be faked just as easily as the one I posted given the right tools. Just linking a screenshot also doesn't prove you're the owner. I can use somebody else's link if I wanted to.

Well that's the problem, it doesn't work well and it doesn't look that great compared to the fully circular G Watch R.

Also it's not "just a watch". If you wanted a watch you would by just a watch. These are supposed to offer more functionality by interfacing with your phone.

Yea, those two notches on the bottom of the backplate are suppose to line up with the two screws from the socket plate on top.

Have you actually tried Afterburner? Having it run in the background shouldn't cause any conflicts because it doesn't apply any "tweaks" unless you tell it to.

I've had TriXX and Afterburner running at the same time with no issues when I had an HD7850. I used TriXX for overclocking and Afterburner's OSD for monitoring.

Never sacrifice components you want for watercooling. Get all the hardware you want first, then look at watercooling if you can afford it.

N7_Zer0 got a reaction from schwat in Reinstalling Windows on SSD. Should I wipe SSD first?
A few years ago I did a test with several SSDs (Samsung, Plextor, Intel) using default Windows installer quick format vs a secure erase (using Parted Magic). Every single time, the secure erase produced slightly faster benchmarks in Crystal Disk Mark. In real world use, you probably won't notice the difference but nevertheless, it's still faster.

Seriously, how is this AMD's fault? You bought an FM2 board expecting it to work with Kaveri which is FM2+ but you failed to do the research that would tell you otherwise.

FYI, FM2 was launched in 2012. New sockets come out every so often to accomodate new tech, it happens.

N7_Zer0 reacted to brob in Can someone explain Raid?
None. RAID is not backup. RAIDs other than 0 are designed to provide fault tolerance. It should be used in environments that cannot afford downtime.

In my opinion the only time RAID 0 should be used is when one must have a larger drive and the only viable option is more than one smaller drive. Or when speed is of the utmost importance, i.e. more important than reliability.

Home systems should do regular, (read daily) backups. If a drive fails it can be easily replaced and restored from backup. If downtime must be minimized a spare drive can be kept so one doesn't need to run to the nearest hdd store.

Just a note, the Noctua NH-L9a cooler is not fully compatible with the F2A88XN-WIFI, it blocks one of the DIMM slots. I have the same setup. BTW, you wrote "Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2" above but the picture is for the F2A88XN-WIFI. DS2 is an mATX board, the other is an mITX.
