  1. I used to work there. Apparently our SIN numbers are on there so what can we do about that?
  2. Laing is the OEM, D5 is the type of pump. Swiftech's version is called the MCP655 but there are many variants.
  3. He never said it was a STRIX 970. The picture was posted in reference to the cooler.
  4. I would save up the extra $100 for the i7 if you can't afford it currently. It definitely helps with faster rendering.
  5. Pretty sure the tubing and rubber orings in your blocks would harden and crack if you ran LN2 through it. Not to mention there are no blocks available that can handle the pressure.
  6. I have the Logitech K810 which I use to switch between my HTPC, PS3 and Nexus 10. It's backlit too.
  7. All I got from those ads is that Macs were targetting towards the computer illiterate but I'm not going to get into a Mac vs PC war here. I can find something untrue with every one of those ads.
  8. Tell that to Apple and their stupid "I'm a mac, I'm a pc" ads they had a few years back.
  9. One job? Why would anyone buy a smart watch to use it just to tell time? Now that's the silliest thing I've heard. It can do more than that for crying out loud.
  10. It's an android device with clock app. No different than people benchmarking their phones.
  11. Well that's the problem, it doesn't work well and it doesn't look that great compared to the fully circular G Watch R. Also it's not "just a watch". If you wanted a watch you would by just a watch. These are supposed to offer more functionality by interfacing with your phone.
  12. I buy all my modding supplies from PPCs and any stuff I can't find in Canada. I've had no issues with them. The only thing is DON'T choose UPS as the shipper, use USPS instead. Actually, never use UPS ever, they charges ridiculous brokerage fees. I bought a $40 item and paid $60 in fees which is BS. Other times I bought $100-$200 worth of stuff and never paid any fees other than shipping with USPS.
  13. The kind of top would have zero affect on performance. Go for whatever look you like best.
  14. The pinouts from the PSU side differ from model to model. If aftermarket cables to exist they have to be tailor made for that specific PSU. The only manufacture from the top of my head that makes different colored cables for their PSU's is Corsair. My suggestion is to get extensions instead of the full cable. Either that or make your own.
  15. Anything is ugly compared to the Asus. The green caps and green wifi pcb is out of place, so is the whole "eye" theme.
  16. The Asus is the best looking one. The others are ugly IMO.
  17. Other than stock coolers I have not seen an aftermarket one with preapplied paste. Coolermaster, Be Quiet, Noctua, Zalman, etc all come with a separate tube.
  18. No, you weren't the first one. I posted in your thread saying there was another thread already (at the time it was literally 2 posts below yours). It got merged it looks like. This post was made a day before yours. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/204026-videocardz-intel-haswell-e-press-slides-leaked-1st-look-at-asus-x99-deluxe/
  19. Pretty sure Anonymous is gunning for them.
  20. Pics of the board were already posted yesterday: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/204026-videocardz-intel-haswell-e-press-slides-leaked-1st-look-at-asus-x99-deluxe/
  21. Yea, those two notches on the bottom of the backplate are suppose to line up with the two screws from the socket plate on top.
