  1. O boy someone opened the PC vs Console door....Just play on whatever you enjoy and enjoy videos for entertainment. If your thinking there is some weird agenda then your thinking too hard about some videos.
  2. check to see if anything is starting to run when you idle for a certain period of time. You could run performance monitor and let the computer sit idle without screensaver and see if something starts to run when you go idle.
  3. LTT dont feel like you all must be forced together to make videos during this time. I saw we get some older style videos of unboxings with alot of the cast. I would love to see all their spins on unboxing and first impressions of hardware. This would allow them to do it from their homes since most of Canada is under "Social Distancing" LOL and bring out new fun content. Setup cam on tripod and have them do odl style where they gotta move the camera or have it setup and cut to close ups. Old style handycams back when lga775 was a thing lol.
  4. Person in videos isnt the person he is in real life. We dont know anything about any of the personalities on YouTube. People need to distance their views on people on the internet(this doesnt excuse any behavior or just being mean but you can be different on twitter and on Youtube). He is most likely a very nice person in real life but blowing up about tweets is kinda silly. Twitter is one of my most hated forms of communication. I dont know the guy personally nor do I keep track of too many of his videos but I always assume people on Youtube is a personality for the camera. I do not believe many Tubers are the same on camera as they are in real life.
  5. Never seen this happen. I am not too scared as power is pretty much standardized in Canada. I remember when the Note 7 was doing its exploding recall and in the store I was at I had a box of note 7's to return to Samsung. they didnt care about the condition and 1 day I jokingly tossed one at a friend as a joke as a explosive... nothing happened but the screen shattering.
  6. Few options. You could create a bootable Linux disc/usb allowing you to grab the information. Can you boot into the recovery screen for windows? From there you can usually do a reinstall where it keeps files but all software will need to be reinstalled. Always make sure you keep an up to date recovery file of your Windows PC so you can quickly get back and running. Here are some restore options if you can get into the recovery menu. Note that these ways never guarantee your data and files will not be deleted. If you require your files find another computer and plug in your HDD and copy the data off of it before taking any further steps https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/repair-windows-10
  7. When you hoped that Twitch would die soon....Coronavirus brings more viewers to that site....le sigh....maybe next time...
  8. I am aware of that vid. I assumed they didnt use the corsair 1000D since it has been used in alot of other builds and using the one they did was since they either got one for review or since it hasnt really been used. It wasnt chosen for utility and just chosen since its rare (IMO). They shoudl find some of the old caselabs cases and build in those. They were dope to see new hardware and hardlines in those cases.
  9. Can you see any logs in event viewer? do some games work and other crash? which games crash and which do not? Start by running some tests Prime95 for cpu memtest86 for ram hdtune for hdd furmark for gpu Try to isolate what could be causing the issue and go from there. Note: care that thermals are within reason and can handle synthetic loads.
  10. I use samsung dex daily as I can also put linux on it and use it as a full desktop.
  11. I remember someone linking these and I thought it was kinda funny I need it for gaming.....
  12. Personally for overkill I would have used Corsair 1000D Where you can setup a 2nd system integrated. This would allow there to be another top end gaming system if you have a friend over just to style on him/her. While you sit there with your monstrosity and when someone comes over for a lan you can be like "MUhahahaha your pc is nothing to even the 2nd pc in my tower". Of you could use it as a dedicated streaming pc built into your computer so when your styling with your duel 2080ti's/rtx titans you dont take any power away from your main machine and let the 2nd computer do the work. It can also be setup as a build in nas where you can place a few 4tb ssd drives so not only does your main machine use ONLY nvme drives like a baller but your tower has a storage computer built in where it can have multiple TB of storage. that to me is more overkill then going for a more exotic case. I wish caselabs was still around as they had the best overkill cases.
  13. collect all the data. Soon advertising will be everywhere and people will figure out ways to force you to spend money and effort into their stuff......the future is bleak...
  14. I should have been more clear. When I meant nowhere Canada I kinda meant NWT as a inside joke. Depending on the infrustructure it could change city to city but they try to keep the same prices but if the city.town is not equipped it can change the costs. When I lived in Small town Sask years ago the cost for internet was more than in one of the major cities. The different was around $10-20 a month depending on the plan.
  15. Note that Canadian dollar is worth less than the USD. 55 Cad is around 36 Euro. still shitty prices and it depends where you live. Bigger cities you get more data for cheap, if you live in the middle of nowhere Canada north it can get expensive.
  16. About time. In Sask we had a good deal as SaskTel was cheaper as it is a crown corp. But when they increased their prices (tinfoil hat reasoning beside) it made all prices the exact same. So all carriers have the same price with minimal different features. It wasnt a small jump in price. I had unlimited data and talk across Canada with good rate for international for under $100 with my Wifes plan making the total around $110. After my upgrade to Note 10+ the same plans now cost around $200.... how did the price almost double in 1 year? So silly...
  17. Appears to be a rack board meant to have the cpu coolers blow the hot air into the 2nd cpu which is ok for server purposes. Sadly for performance this can have a negative affect. You could do both blowing upwards. Do you have a case that no only fits this vertically but has ventilation on top?
  18. Fair enough. But the size of the channels are also different and the view counts on some videos. It is safer to go Clickbait than to try and go against it.
  19. Which board are you using? Most boards have it so the cpu coolers can exhaust to the back of the case. This could be more for server boards so they don't heat each other up. So the coolers are parallel to each other.
  20. This is the limitation of YouTube. You cannot blame LTT for capitalizing on what gets views. This is a sad issue with YouTube, informational titles and professional images mean nothing when YouTube pays based on Clicks and people in general click on these kinds of videos WAY more than the videos of old. Blame the parents and kids who are clicking on all the click bait video titles and pictures and buying all the stupid products that Other YouTubers panhandle for easy sponsorships ***Cough loot box websites Cough****
  21. When I first got my Oculus it wasnt compatible with SteamVR yet and I used Oculus Tray Tool to allow it to work properly. It also had settings to allow better experience. Not sure if that software is still around or if it will work with DK2.
  22. how many frames total? I would expect if you can run 60fps and you ran the game for 1 minute you would have 3600 frames and if you ran the game for an hour you would have 216,000 frames...
  23. As well as liquid metal is conductive. It is much harder to spread over the surface area when between the cpu and the cooler.
  24. It wouldn't show up on your end if your being DOS attack (other than your internet would cut out or be greatly affected). This would be seen by your router or by your ISP. If it from your pc that would be malware. The picture of the network doesnt have data with it. You would need to show what the numbers behind that graph means. That could be 1kbps up and down... If a website says anything about dos attack its usually the website having issues and not you...its like those "You have a computer virus" pages lol.
