  1. As long as Microsoft keeps by their PC users and makes the makes not just some terrible Xbox exclusive and releasing their games on PC. As much as I cant stand how broken the games tend to be I do enjoy me some Elder Scrolls as I am a HUGE RPG Fantasy person.
  2. thats why I posted that. Technically they made their money which is fine business wise but not always best practice. I'm only criticizing allowing every single one from every store being purchased by farms. I dont even have a way to see how to stop this from happening as bot purchases are smart and make it look like normal people buying. As for me Memory express saved some for ONLY in store purchase so im getting a 3080 anyways...
  3. my original post was criticizing them where I was told I shouldnt lol. that post was a troll saying that you can...
  4. your right there shouldn't be any criticisms about practices. Never has any store had any bad practices that affect its customers or workers as long as they make money. Predatory pricing or Market manipulation those shouldn't be talked about since the store still made its money amirite? /end lol
  5. Classic online stores allowing bots to purchase everything up since they still get their money.
  6. can we be done with wanna be quick money makers ruining pc gaming for the rest of us. I am wanting to build a pc using a 3080. I remember getting ym 1080 right before the boom and watching my $700 card turn into a $1000+ card for NO REASON other then supply and demand to these humans.
  7. I would have to read through the full agreement on what the rules are for developing for apple. Since you would be creating "games" for their store on their product they can make whatever rules they want. If people dont like it they can go with a competitor as this is the basis for many other industries. But depending on the wording or the legal stance I am not sure as I am no legal expert. But to me at least if apple wants to kick something from their store they should be able to as nobody is forced to purchase an apple device and it would only drive more people to apples competitors.
  8. I dont get why the redesign of the cooler... It appears to be a backtrack of what was done for the 2000 series. I guess we will have to see the real tests. I assume they will talk about how much better the cooling is but ill be skeptical until there are actual reviews.
  9. This creates a weird paradigm between streamer and advertisers. I would assume that advertisers sponsoring streams/videos it should ALWAYS be visible who is sponsoring and that its known by the viewers. I do not see why streamers would be mad getting donations...Since they are getting paid and they are the ones with text to speech on. My objection would be if they start donating multiple times to a single stream, lets say $50 an hour every-hour for 8 hours to 1 person. This to me would be the same as sponsoring the content. Most likely this was a advertising stunt that we are all now talking about. Might not happen again or have the changes I am talking about and it could be a once in a blue moon thing....
  10. Great to hear more people in IT. I personally work in IT kinda mix of Server/telephony/Network admin. Sadly in IT this isnt a large aspect. There are times when I get to play with say a server but for the most part larger companies have the hardware setup for years and years then when they upgrade you get to play for a few days then back to normal. There is Deskside support where you go to say an office users computer and fix the monitor or replace a keyboard. But most of the time this is just a stepping stone. If that part isnt for you it will be much harder to break into the space. Sadly there isnt too much "Computer builders" as its not a skilled position as computer building is like lego these days. If your wanting to go really deep into that you would be more an engineer which you would be looking at years for a degree. It depends on what your ultimate goal is. This is a great place to go into and will become bigger and bigger as more stuff is moved from inside a closed office to working from home or on the go. Going into something like CCNA and onward gives you good money but staring at networking packets and such are VERY boring lol. For the most part in IT you will do your time in the "trenches" Service desk. From there you learn the company structure and move into what to do. I recommend networking or security as they are ever growing with no signs to slow down. Take certs practice exams are useful for testing some knowledge but most of the time they are not accurate to the exam. Network+ and A+ are very basic, how do you go into "Control panel"or what does 127.0.0.1 mean as an address. It is always a roller coaster which is why I love it. I say get Network+ then if you like networking go into CCNA which will give you alot of career opportunities or if you like security you will need to find which certs you need. Note this is all based on my experience and is no way a guarantee for anything since I am no it guidance counselor and just sharing some of my thoughts.
  11. galaxy app store is only useful for finding color themes for the Samsung launcher. Since I run with a watch 2 it also allows me to find watch faces in the app that work with it. Other then that I cannot remember the last time I opened the Galaxy store LOL. Also I would like to note that the Game Launcher from Samsung is handy to keep all the games plus some non useful stats on each game lol.
  12. That is an issue with youtube and Google. Youtube has gone too long ignoring basic rules that every other medium has had to follow and many creators have taken advantage of this. yes Youtube has brought alot of joy and new forms and entertainment but whoever pays the bills makes the rules and host needs to keep track of both. Honestly I dont mind websites or major players failing as it brings up better things from its ashes and Youtube, etc have been at it too long. Hopefully like many websites something better comes along. Youtube has turned into easy access tv where I choose what I watch with lower budget. Where everyone (not literally) tries to make money instead of making videos for fun. anyone remember smashing videos lol, or random comedy sketches or fun animations.
  13. Nothing new here, alot of youtube sponsored content are scams. At somepoint websites are going to have to be held responsible for what ads are running and who they are running to. I remember seeing this ad up for weeks. The video has comments and like/dislike turned off. Where it tries to get kids to download and signup for scetchy sites and fill in surveys from who knows what in hopes to get gift cards or paypal money. Scetchy is an understatement with some ads. im baffled how much youtube goes through everyone's videos but one its some "Sponsored" or advertiser content its like they totally ignore any process to check if its legit.
  14. Whats sad is that the scam most likely made alot of money from people looking up how to send bitcoin.....
  15. I understand the fear or a camera watching yuou without your knowing but if your computers webcam is somehow turned on and sending data to a remote place then your laptop/desktop is already compromised and I would bet the user/group would rather get money than some random show of someone walking around the house in view of wherever the webcam is... Plus there are much easier cams to view as alot of people buy ip cams or wize cams and never change or setup security.
  16. If the feature is in the vehicle but just turned off there will become a market to turn it back on for cheap. So in theory they can buy a base unit and have no features but since all features sitting in the car someone could go get them turned on by a friend and have saved thousands??? I dont see a problem other then its BMW and they are all overpriced.
  17. Pokemon wants some of that mobile gambing pushing microtransaction ridden money from a specific eastern world audience....
  18. To me it appears that alot of companies do not understand what makes X great and they just throw money into marketing and execs who say they know what to do. We can look at Mixer. It started out VERY late to the game. Twitch already being integrated into games for rewards and coming with Amazon Prime incentives. They should have put this into consideration instead of just trying to get every major streamer onto the platform. They need to build events for the platform and build new stars but nothing happened. We can look at other times Microsoft has come to the table then fading out quickly. Didnt they have phones before? They also have a launcher for android now? They also had a phone that was part of some social network stint... There are more but I will keep it short. I am not saying these are the sole issues but when I look at a site like twitch that is something that would drive me and others. I can imagine the big paid streamers crying with their $100 bills as they could retire anytime. But this will be a huge hit to their viewers. Since the ones being paid to leave might not be welcomed back onto Twitch LOL. Which sucks since I personally hate twitch...
  19. well its a good thing I dont use or endorse Zoom at all. its terrible security holed software used by people who dont try researching other options.
  20. Is it just the framing with camera tricks. It seems very thin for the hardware they would need to cool...Maybe its longer in the back for the heatsync...
  21. I have a few issures with the pictures. The fins make no sense as to where the air would be channeled. Since its using a blower style it would need a path to push the air through. In the pictures the fins wouldnt allow this. The middle of the card shows thick fins which even if somehow air got through the weird channels of fins be the fan would push the hot air into the case. Last the end part of the card has no fan and looking at the top of the fins, no way to push air through. Unless its using passive cooling on their new GPU's?? They might use the coolers look but I doubt the fin arrangement is proper or thats just a top cover for looks. The way the fins appear in the pictures would be very anti-productive cooling wise.
  22. I used to travel for my work and helped with on site servers. one time I forgot I had a bunch of cables in my bag with some tools. I never been pulled out of line and stripped so fast. The person on xray screen for my bag had a laugh when they opened it only to find a mess of cables I forgot to get rid of with some crimpers. On the screen it looked like a fucking b*mb with all the wiring and tools. Since I also had a laptop it looked all connected and SUPER menacing. Once they opened and we just tossed the cables out as they were garbage anyways it was all ok but watching the security and cops come that quick was kinda funny after it happened. Moral of the story - depending on what tools your talking about screwdrivers and such are usually a NO NO as they can be used as weapons for carry on. Usually they do not allow any tools in a carry on as most can be used as weapons. Depending on the kit or how friendly you are they might allow crimpers through. When travelling I usually had to borrow some from their local ISP.
  23. Atari should go into the mobile gaming industry. Its unregulated in regards to its pushing gambling/loot boxes being pushed. It makes alot of money..../joke end
  24. Sorry if my post wasnt clear. Would the magnets affect the audio drivers since if theory your putting magnets right next to the earpiece at all times. Would this affect audio or over time damage the audio drivers in the ear cups?
