That's a good idea. I think I'll do that just to keep my mind busy

I heard a suggestion from a streamer I follow that does programming on the side: always take the time to program silly things for fun. Program an Android version of Clippy that nags you with mostly useless advice about how to use the OS every 5 minutes. How about an app that changes the color of everything when you tap its icon? Or a clock in planck times? These are a couple of suggestions.

    Few pointers,
The intel stock cooler has thermal paste pre applied so you can save a few bucks there, also I'd go with a less expensive mobo (red mobo's are not hard to find) and upgrade your GPU. I have a 960 in my build and it runs most all games at 40-60 fps at 1080p. But be sure to post pictures of it when it's built

    Hello LTT Com,

I'm just (nearly, only OS left) finished a HTPC build, wich I assembled as a birthday present for my mom and I'm only 14d to late, new record!
I'm a bad son I know but it's not just  cheap crap and build it myself and it's unique

The spec list (most or near all used parts)
CPU: G3258 got it for 35 euro used, non oc'd at least yet for this build (but I tried it run on 4,5 GHz in this build I like it, It's even delided since it was my first delid test )
GPU: I will use the iGPU
RAM: 2x 4GB GEIL EVO Laggara  2400MHz CL11 both sticks for 45 euro (was a nice used deal)
Mainboard: Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI used for 70 euro (+a bit shipping)
Storage: Sandisk Plus 120 GB for approx 40 euro new as an Amazon deal
Drive:  LG BH16NS55 Blueray Writer new for 72 euro
PSU: Seasonic SS-350 bulk version used for 40 euro modded see on the fotos

Case: SELFMADE made out of 4mm thick wood/bamboo looks nice but tend to curve a bit more than I like. I used this material for the look and to test it for upcoming future project
(the next project will go with a i7 4790t CPU , a q87t motherboard and an eDP's screan stay tuned, even If I don't know when I start on building, I have most of the parts)

Masurements: I wanted to reproduce the masurements of the old DVD-Player from my mom it's 42,5 cm long, 9,5-10 cm in high and 27 cm in depth
