  1. Virtual shot seems pretty innovative. We've seen 4k and slo mo and selective focus before, but this is like a 360 picture, similar to the new 360 video on certain video cameras.
  2. This one from Amazon? Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Socket AM3+/AMD 990FX/Quad CrossFireX and Quad SLI/A and GbE/SATA3 and USB3.0/ATX Motherboard
  3. Would you recommend that I sell and buy a new motherboard because the processor is such a statistical beast, or replace the CPU so that I don't need to take everything apart then put it all back together with a new Motherboard? I'd say sell the motherboard and get a new one, but as my title states, I'm a bit of a newbie
  4. Not booting from a thumb drive, and maybe the CPU is the issue. I assumed that because the CPU was compatible, with it being AM3+, that it would work with the AM3+ motherboard socket
  5. Much as this will likely take a while if you have over a terabyte of storage, if you use "Derek's Boot and Nuke" and burn it onto a CD, pop that bad boy into your optical drive, then boot from the CD, it will completely wipe all drives by erasing, writing, erasing, writing, erasing, writing, erasing. Nothing left whatsoever. Much as this will ditch all files you used to have on your Windows 7 setup, if you use the Windows CD and boot from it again, you will at least be able to use your computer again. Worked for me when a school desktop got heavy viruses.
  6. I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 on my new custom PC that I finished building less than a month ago. As stated in the topic title, it didn't work. I've got AMD FD9590FHHKWOF Fx-9590 Oem-Series 8-Core Processor Black Edition Asus M5A97 R2.0 Socket AM3+/AMD 970/Quad CrossFireX/A and GbE/SATA3 and USB3.0/ATX Motherboard 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Windforce Booting onto a 240GB Kingston Digital Solid State Drive Booting from Asus's External Slim DVD-RW drive (SDRW-08D2S-U) Using 64 bit version of Windows on a disk Any known compatibility issues? Also using the Logitech G105 and the Mad Catz R.A.T. T.E. I've heard that this particular mouse isn't always recognized as a mouse by Windows. Recommendations for a compatible mouse (Without drivers obviously) When I click through the start menu and I get to chose which drive I wish to boot onto, does my SSD need to be in drive 0? If so, how do I configure it to be. Last time I checked (A couple days ago) it was on drive 1, and my 3TB WD Green HHD was drive 0. If the drive 0 isn't an issue, then I don't know what is. After the little dots run around chasing themselves underneath the Windows 8 logo for a while, my computer will restart itself a few times, then it will continue, but a couple minutes later a "Recovery, Windows was not properly downloaded!" menu pops up with options such as: -Restart PC -Troubleshoot menu -Select another drive -Turn off PC -Enter BIOS Any tips and pointers on anything above are greatly appreciated.
  7. If I was to try it again with an older usb keyboard and my dad's wireless logitech mouse do you think that would give me a more effective result? The mouse has one of those USB pieces, not bluetooth
  8. Hey I have the RAT T.E. have there been issues with drivers for that as well?
  9. I'm having a similar problem, are you using an intel CPU or AMD?
