  1. If it helps anyone: It doesn't matter how I connect them, it doesn't work. However, I used one of few USB to HDMI adapters and that worked fine (although it's pulling from iGPU rather than GPU)
  2. Not yet, apparently Game Mode on G9 might also be causing issues. I'll try disconnecting my main G9 later on when I'm back to see.
  3. Hello there, Currently trying to run the following displays: 2x 1080P 240Hz 17" ASUS XG17AHP displays 1x 5120x1440 240Hz 49" Samsung Oddysey G9 1x 1080p 60Hz monitor One of the 17" inch ones isn't even getting detected and if I play with cables a bit, it is but it says display isn't active. Am I bottlenecked by outputs or 4090?
  4. Hello, Recently upgraded my GT77HX Titan 13980HX 4090 to MSI Titan 18HX 14900HX 4090 (had good opportunity to do it with next to no loss) Unfortunately (but fortunately) the laptop has 4 DIMM slots, which means that overclocking is somewhat limited as it's quad RAM board. I currently have 2x16GB DDR5 6400 CL38 XMP modules (using those for gaming) I also have 4x48GB 5600 modules (Productivity, swapping when needed) Currently trying to get to at least 6000Mhz stable on the RAM. The current settings that work and pass Memtest86 are linked to this post. Essentially when I even attempt to sent 5900 to memory ratio I will get a flashing power button on and off. Then I have to hold it for 40 sec for CMOS reset to try fresh. However, if I copy XMP settings from one of the XMP profiles (6000Mhz CL38 Profile) it will boot and work, just crash often in games and Memtest86 will produce some errors which result in WHEA in the Event Viewer. Can anyone pinpoint what I can do to stabilise? 1.35V 5800Mhz CL38 is stable, tried raising tRCD/Trp to 42 but I would wake up to 10000 Memtest errors. Tried raising and reducing Trefi but system would never boot it I would get flashing power button. Any help appreciated.
  5. I actually need it. Wouldn't be asking if I didn't. Titan was £4200, MSI Raider is in £2500 range
  6. Hello there, Here is my situation. I just sold my MSI Titan GT77HX for £4200. It performed great, but had not been moved like at all. I currently have 4090 Suprim X and 14900KS in my actual PC. I play games with my wife and I am usually on the laptop and she's on the PC. PC has G9 Oddysey, Basilisk Ultimate mouse also and V3 Blackwidow keyboard. I have the following leftovers from it: 3x4TB NVMe, 2x48GB DDR5 5600 Sodimm, and GT500 IETS cooler and G6 Creative USB sound card. For the PC I already have the following: 13900KS binned, Supercool direct die, NVMes from the laptop. I currently use Basilisk Ultimate with Keychron K3 keyboard and Samsung G8 OLED (or should I say it's there but no PC to hook it up to) I have currently purchased RTX 4090 Suprim X (boxed as new) for £1425, but after buying it I'm having second thoughts. I checked and MSI Raider GE78HX with 13980HX and 4090 performs the same or similarly. I could use the RAM from the Raider (it only comes with 2x8GB) and essentially max out the RAM, and max out the NVMe by having 8TB in there, and of course it would not be moved much or at all. Laptop is about £2600 now on eBay. Can buy it as a returned item so would have the warranty etc. Or, I keep the 4090 Suprim X and the following to make a PC. Would still need: PSU £200 AX1600i, case £200 Tower 900 or similar, RAM £250 8000Mhz DDR5 Gskill, 2x MORA 360 per component £400, 2x D5 pumps £300, Active Backplate for 4090 £380, Z790 Apex Encore £650, Tubing £30, Quick Connects £120, Coolant £40, Fittings (Cheap AliExpress ones £40 tested them they are fine), PCI-E Bracket passthrough for MORAs £30, NVMes would be free, CPU block is free I have spare Supercool Direct Die, 18x fans (most likely Noctua 3000RPM ones) around £400 and two AquaComputer Octos £100. Total £4565 (would need to perhaps look for some used stuff to make up for the missing £365) What do you guys think? I believe PC would be 40% faster.
  7. Just bought 14900KS. It's most likely to be a dud tho, so an inevitable return is on hands
  8. Samsung Oddysey G8 OLED. Complements Mini LED screen of MSI Titan
  9. Anyone knows how to turn off AOD? I click off on the remote, then after a while it comes back on with time. Afraid of burning in the time there and would rather have it off. I'm just turning it off at the wall for now. Looked through options but can't find the settings.
  10. I'm fairly convinced now tbf. Will go for it thanks!
  11. Would you say it's worth it? It's for a laptop with GT500 laptop cooler than is loud, and I just wear headphones. Everything below this price point comes with HDR400 165Hz same resolution and is G-Sync compatible rather than proper G-Sync etc G5 has brightness of 250 nit for half the price etc
  12. I was looking into G5 and that's £225. But here I'm getting proper HDR experience and comes with 2 years warranty (it's 2nd hand shop btw)
  13. Not brand loyal, most of my stuff is MSI or Samsung or Corsair. Only my mobo is ASUS. I'm sort of asking in retrospective to other monitors if it's worth paying this much for something from 2020.
  14. I have opportunity to buy this Quantum Dot 1000nit 200Hz 3540x1440 G-Sync ultimate monitor for £495. Is it worth it in 2024? Or should I just get a cheaper one like Samsung G5 with 165hz for £225?
  15. Water cooled on low ambient temp, not likely
  16. Contacted one of the people on Reddit and they're shunt modded and water cooled on low ambient temp never mind all good
  17. Hi there, I just noticed some laptops on TimeSpy have insane scores: I'm assuming those are shunted and obviously externally cooled to achieve such fear? My MSI Titan managed 24100 in GPU and 20000 in CPU with some undervolting.
  18. My PC is similar btw, all in the sig. I thought I'd lug it around but never happened, ROG Ally came out lol got 3080 XG Mobile
  19. £5299 laptop, £900 NVMes and £730 RAM and £30 WiFi card. Had the laptop for like 6-7 months with sometimes weeks of not using it
  20. Also, much appreciated it's about what expected. Probably about £3000-3300 for it because of upgrades
  21. Not used much, protective plastics still in tact. Upgraded RAM from 32GB to 192GB and NVMe from 2TB to 12TB and from WiFi 6E to WiFi 7. Ignore the screens
  22. Hi there, If this is the wrong sub forum please remove. I have this machine and I'm just wondering if it's value, would anyone be able to advise? Laptop: MSI Titan GT77HX V13, RTX 4090 175W, 24 core i9 13980HX OC: P-Cores 5.8Ghz 3 cores and 5.2Ghz 5 cores and E-Cores 4.3Ghz, 192GB of RAM @5600Mhz @3600 (chipset limit), 12TB (3x4TB) of NVMe SN850X, 17'3 inch 4K 144Hz MiniLED screen, WiFi 7 upgrade.
  23. It's the same for the desktop, but I'm running 8800Mhz with XMP there.
  24. I hope this helps someone and perhaps someone might also have an idea. Recently I purchased 6400Mhz RAM with XMP for my MSI Titan GT77HX 13VI (13980HX and 4090) I am using almost the oldest BIOS (105) because it's the best performing one allowing 200W to the CPU whilst in D-GPU mode. 6400Mhz does NOT work but I'm assuming it's due to Titan having 4 slots. 6000Mhz boots but only under very specific circumstances. Entering BIOS right after CMOS reset, unlocking overclocking in Overclocking menu and Power and Performance menu, then setting XMP to 6000Mhz. After a while PC will boot with XMP working. However, if I even try to add any settings to support OC in Windows like BCLK set to 10024 to make it exactly 100 rather than 99.77 etc whilst enabling 6000Mhz all in the BIOS it will not load at all. It only works in the order of fresh BIOS - set XMP - go back to the BIOS after restart with XMP enabled - then change all the settings after restart and then it works. Tried gaming on this XMP profile Fortnite but it kept crashing with Event Viewer message taking about Processor Core issues. Tried gaming with just XMP and everything else vanilla but still crashes but no blue screening. I tried raising System Agent (SA) in Throttlestop by 50Mv but that did not help. Does anyone know what I need to raise in the BIOS in order to stabilise the RAM? With these settings I'm getting 37500. Any ideas to improve? Someone on Reddit managed 38500 at 185W but I'm assuming it's with liquid metal or some other weird cooling as 16C in my room with fans full blast with elevated laptop, throttles it at end of test from 200W to about 182W on the CPU in R23. If anyone have any idea how to raise this score and or get the XMP more stable please let me know. Settings below:
