  1. Yeah you make a great point, I will not disable any safety measures. And yeah it is linked to PBO I think, it just pushes 200mhz above I seem to remember!
  2. Okay thank you very much for the quick answer! I will try it and disable afterwards without worry!!
  3. Hi all, I am wanting to try out PBO and AutoOC on my 3970x using the Aorus Master TRX40 to see how much faster it is, but if I don't see any noticeable improvements I will disable it. Will enabling it for 5 minutes void my warranty forever, or is it only void if I damage my processor WHILE having PBO enabled? I would hate to use it for 5 minutes and disable it, only to find out my warranty is gone even though I don't use it at all afterwards!
  4. Silly mistake from my part! I ran it from C where windows is and it shows the identical message!
  5. Thank you for the quick reply! I have never heard of that command before, and this is what it showed:
  6. Installing F4 from F3 worked fine, but after installing BIOS F5a on a Gigabyte Aorus Master sTRX40, my Windows installation would not boot. I thought the BIOS wasn't seeing the drive etc etc so I booted from a disc and did startup repair and then it went straight in! I noticed that I no longer have a UEFI partition, or a system reserved partition. Instead I have a random 128MB partition as the F: drive letter on my SSD and a 261MB unallocated partition. My secondary HDD also has a random 185MB unallocated partition. Running system information showed the BIOS mode is Legacy! I have no idea how this has happened! I have never ever converted from UEFI to Legacy! Also in disk management if I right click the SSD, it says "convert to GPT" as greyed out implying it has also been converted to MBR in the process. Please can somebody explain how I can convert it back to UEFI, convert it back to GPT, and get the necessary partitions back so I can boot up and undo what Windows has done? Thank you in advance!
  7. That would be a killer case! The Enthoo Pro is literally perfect! No wastes at all and very large for EATX builds!
  8. Ah okay no worries! The Enthoo Pro looks absolutely amazing omg!
  9. Yeah it's super annoying! It's almost like they build a standard glass case and make a more expensive one with actual decent airflow to get you to pay more! I am guessing it will still fit an EATX motherboard even though it is only ATX?
  10. Ah apologies for my assumption! I will take a look at this thank you!
  11. Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately this case also has a glass front and poor airflow as a result! It seems that is the trend but its a bad trend indeed!
  12. Hi all, I am really struggling to find an EATX case for my upcoming 3970x build which will include the Aorus Master and a 160mm high Wraith Ripper. Every single case I look at seems to have no airflow with either glass or a flat plastic front with no grill, RGB and glass windows adding to the cost. I would just love a plain case with enough room, good airflow for intake, and no extras adding to the cost like RGB and glass side panels. I have looked up many cases and the Antec P101 has no frills but unfortunately I have heard the airflow is quite poor. My current case is the BeQuiet SIlent Base 800, which I have measured would probably fit an EATX motherboard in but it would be extremely tight at the bottom near the power supply and it would overhang all the cable management holes. Are there any cases that fit my criteria of a simple box with no frills and good airflow that don't break the bank? Thanks in advance
  13. No worries at all, and I think once one person replies, the algorithm pushes the question to the bottom! I will only have this system for 2 months max after today but probably closer to 1 month. It's just too slow for what I am doing tbh xD! I have never touched BCK or NB as I am too nervous, and mine works after extensive stress testing at 4.7GHz 1.440V Thank you so much for talking to me about this though and it's great to see another FX user! I wish AMD the best going forward as it now brings competition to stop the 9980XE and 10980XE being as ridiculous as they have been!
  14. I used to run it at over 5.2GHz (can't remember the final speed I stuck to) on a water loop. That since broke and I am back on air (NH-D15) and after 4.8GHz the voltage requirements hit the roof. 4.7 is enough for me I dread to think what the temperatures hit when the system actually shut off because I booted to the BIOS and it was 82C I am running it at 1.440 and it seems pretty stable but will have to test fully. I am still confused as to why it doesn't throttle even at 79C if the max it can handle is 61C... something seems fishy to me! Even their own overdrive with the offset is 70C max, and even then mine doesn't throttle haha
