GTX 980 Sli Aftermarket and Reference Help Please
atos28 replied to atos28's topic in Graphics Cards
so do you think it will be cooler? how much cooler will it be? -
Hey Guys, can I expect better temperatures if I put an aftermarket on top and reference on bottom. I currently have 2 Reference in SLI and the top one reaches around 74 degrees, can I expect better with the aftermarket on top? my ambient room temp is 22 degrees. Basically to keep the top one at 74 degrees, it is really loud and the reason I want aftermarket on top is because I think it will be less loud and more cooler? what do you guys think? Thanks

GTX 980 SLI with One Reference Card and One Non-Reference
atos28 replied to atos28's topic in Graphics Cards
There is a gap, one whole PCIE slot gap, the cards are not sandwiched against each other. Card one used slot 2&3 and card 2 uses slot 5&6 so there is 1 slot PCIE gap. -

I currently have the two gtx 980 REFERENCES in SLI and I got a deal to swap one of them for the EVGA ACX 2.0 aftermarket gtx 980, should i do it? will the temperature actually improve? -
GTX 980 SLI with One Reference Card and One Non-Reference

i consider it good, its a corsair 780T graphite case, with two 140mm fans on the front, 2 140mm fans attached to radiator on top pulling exhaust (out of the case) and 120mm fan at the back. -

They said aftermarket on top and reference on bottom, is that what you meant? because they show a photo of it in their video the way i mentioned. -
Hey guys, Just wanna know if it is better to have one GTX 980 Non-Reference design (EVGA FTW ACX 2.0 Cooler) and another GTX 980 REFERENCE design in SLI configuration? I saw one of the latest videos from linustechtips which is titled " Video Card Ventilation" and they say that with a non reference design on top and a reference design on the bottom the top card will run at 74 degrees. Which is a lot better compared to the 2 SLI REFERENCE card which will make the top one run at 84 degrees. Thanks

Hi guys, Its me again with another questions and the final one hopefully . Basically I have 2 gtx 980 in SLI and I am worried about the temperature of the cards, if one you guys can tell me if its normal or not it would be great . The top card runs between 72-78 degrees and the bottom card runs at 62-68 degrees when playing games like crysis 3, gta 5, bf 4, bf hardline but when i play older games like WoW, alien vs predator and just cause 2 the top card runs at 56-63 and the bottom card runs at 46-53 degrees, is this normal? or are the temperatures too high? Both cards are reference (blower) designs. Also, I am using the MSI afterburner custom fan config, these temperatures are with that program being used and 23-24 ambient room temperature. Thanks

Here is a photo of the Hard drive usage!

I forgot to mention that I have an SSD, should I put the game on that? or do I need to fresh install it on there? The game also has this when I access the menu or press ESC to access the menu in WoW I don't know what that means with the memory and SSD and the hard faults/sec I have a SSD with OS installed on it tho The CPU reaches around 42-48 degrees only

the first gpu doesnt go above 73 degrees and I set the limit to 85 degrees on MSI afterburner and the 2nd GPU doesnt go above 62 degrees Not playing garrison. just started a new character how can i check that? how can i check that?
