I keep hesitating, changing up what I think is best. I worry my work laptop may not be able to do ultrawide resolution, so now I'm leaning toward 4K and the Tempest GP27U. But, I do think the M34WQ is a good deal if you can handle the flat screen.

When I updated my MSI 3070 there was also no change to the GPU-Z reported version number. I suspect that part of the code didn't change hence no version number change. MSI's tools reported a totally different version number and that did change.

In my case re-bar did work but I had to enable it in mobo bios first, and the setting was not revealed until after enabling "above 4G decoding" or something like that.

With that chip, resolution and refresh rate you are 100% fine like @HairlessMonkeyBoy said. Better to save money and energy and just stick with the iGPU.

    Hi guys and girls!
i finally got all the prts and can now present my first ever own build. Thanks especially to: @Naijin @martward @Bobbycat2414 @minibois
for the help in finding the right information for parts.
I still need to buy something to get all fans together, so i can control them all at once, but otherwise extremely happy!

Ok false alarm it wasn’t anything to do with the fans it was the fan header on the mobo, I moved the fab splitter to another header and it works perfectly fine now thanks for the help!

Did you check in the BIOS whether it's set to DC mode? I saw in the latest video that they used these fans and that it behaved weird because it was set to the wrong mode by default.

I would suggest going Ubuntu if you're not familiar with linux. It's not necessarily the easiest as far as I know, but there is so much support online. Everybody and their grandma's are using Ubuntu and the internet forums are filled with questions and answers about the platform.
There is a lightweight version called Lubuntu, but I have no idea whether it is any good.

Personally I don't care that much about overclocking since it usually doesn't give you that much performance (between same tier GPUs of course, differences of 15-60 mhz). I would mostly look at aesthetics and cooling. I'm very content with my Gigabyte 3060ti Gaming OC Pro. It overclocks to about +120 (2070 - 2100 MHz) on the core and +1000 on the memory with simple tweaking and stays at around 65C when gaming without a custom fan profile.

It really doesn't matter that much. In some benchmarks the 1650 super is slightly faster, in others the rx580 is slightly faster. I would just look up one or two reviews of outlets you trust and like to read (for me that's LTT, GamersNexus and Hardware Unboxed / Techspot) and check the review for the 1650 super. The 1650 super should contain the 580 (since 1650 super is newer) so you can get a good indication not only of the comparison but of the performance you can expect from both cards individually.
I would imagine that the new cards should be better available somewhere in the second half of this year. Maybe the 1650 super might hold more of it's value since it's newer if you plan to sell it again, but that's just a guess.

It would make sense and it would be easy to upgrade later on. However, unless you already own the rx580 I would suggest going with a card by Nvidia that supports nvenc, this should help with streaming.
Maybe get some slow storage to save gameplay like a big HDD?

I wouldn't necessarily look at which of them has more battery life than the other, but which of them has enough battery life for your purpose.
For instance TechCrunch (don't know the site, just picked one at random from google) says it lasts up to 16 hours of web browsing and video playback, that's 2 working days. Considering you're not spending 8 hours a day on the laptop a day, usually, you should only have to charge it every other day.
That's how I would look at this decision at least. I'm not going to give an advice about the products because I have never used a Mac and I simply don't know enough to give a valuable advice.

tl;dr I think the difference will be approx. 2 hrs, but I think you should look at the individual battery life to see if it's enough.

@Stahlmann I ordered the MX keys to try them and I must say I'm impressed so far. The scissor switches offer a pretty nice typing experience and I'm not slower than I was with the mechanical switches. They seem to me like a better version of the (already very well executed) keyboard of the Lenovo Thinkpad I have. Plus they are way more silent which my girlfriend really appreciates and better complement my open-back headphones.

I think the fact that no one talks about it is because such a pc would share a lot with gaming PC's. AFAIK (correct me if I'm wrong) you don't need much horsepower for drawing, probably mostly a monitor with good colour reproduction. For blender and stuff you need graphical horsepower and personally I'd get an Nvidia card because of CUDA. The main difference would be that you'd wat more cores rather than a few slow cores, though nowadays you'd more  cores for gaming as well I guess.

ANY acceleration will be too much if you don't want to handicap yourself in games.

If you're remotely considering the G Pro, i will say it is easily and by far the best mouse i've ever used. You should definetly think about it. You also have a handy compartment in the bottom of the mouse to store the dongle if you take it with you, so you basically can't lose it.
