Hi everyone,
So I have had this computer rig for about 3-4 years now and I have some extra money I would like to spend on it. While I do have some ideas in mind, I was wondering what anyone thought about what in particular is worth upgrading (assuming budget isn't an issue; just nothing crazy)
Below are the specs:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V Pro
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k (@3.4GHz)
RAM: 8GB Dual-Channel Corsair DDR3 (@668MHz)
Graphics Card: Asus NVIDIA GTX 570 (1279MB)
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster BX2450 (1080p@60hz)
Storage: Samsung SSD 840 EVO (120Gb)
Storage 2: Samsung Spinpoint 1TB (HD103SJ?) PSU: Antec TruePower New Series TP-750 (750W)
CPU Cooler: (some random coolermaster ones from a friend, can't really name...) Other fans: (stock case ones...)
I would like to make a ""future proof"" upgrade(s) and nothing is off the table (monitor / etc.) I use the computer primarily for gaming, video/photo editing and 3D modelling (hobby, nothing too intense.) The computer has been fine for me so far, but I feel the GPU is holding it back especially with newer games... I am not sure about the other components of the system, but CPU and GPU is often at 37-40 degrees Celsius, on normal use (not gaming, but it doesn't go up too much in a game...) Alongside this, a new 2TB HDD is needed. Considering a monitor (1440p??) and anything else is up for feedback. I really appreciate any advice/comments from anyone and it would be a great help! Thank you!
