Not even close, PCIe 3.0 8x is still enough, especially for mobile GPUs which are slower than their desktop counterparts.

Agreed, I still stand by my opinion that the Ryzen 7 3700X was the best value Ryzen 5000 series CPU Sales seem to reflect that.

Honestly I think people are way too obsessed with having "the best gaming performance" CPU. If you have a gaming PC and it's well-balanced, meaning that you have an appropriate display resolution to your graphics card, then you're GPU bound and your CPU choice really becomes secondary.

For example even with an RTX 3080, the difference between a mere R5 3600 and an i9-10900K is about 10FPS on average at 1440p, which I'm sure you know you won't be noticing even slightly when you're in a 170-180 FPS range already. At 4K there's literally no difference at all between them, and using a 3080 for 1080p is just plain stupid anyway.

I'm confused, I just read a news article today that mentioned Intel's CEO saying that they started 10nm production of upcoming Xeons, but they stick to 14nm for desktop?

I wonder if they're going to release an HEDT lineup using this architecture and process node, or if they're going to wait for full 10nm goodness.

Thanks for the summary of what Intel is doing. Now I just gotta wait for AMD's CES showcase and see what they are talking about. Their improvements look good, but I'm more interested in seeing what Intel's Alder Lake will bring with the hybrid big.LITTLE architecture that will be pointless unless Microsoft can get Windows optimized with that design.
    At least its not 4C/8T!!

The Gaming Plus Max is a far better board. If it's cheaper, then it's a no-brainer.

P.S. Get the Ryzen 5 3600, not the 3600X. You're literally paying for a letter in the name.

Best you can do is try ordering an RX 6800 on 25th, when AIB models launch for sale. The best advice I can give you is try getting a model from Sapphire, XFX or PowerColor, as those AIBs have priority in GPU allocation from AMD, as they're AMD exclusive partners. Because of that other brands that also make Nvidia cards like MSI, Gigabyte or ASUS will probably be even harder to get.

Not true. Most relatively new devices use WiFi "5", called 802.11ac. It supports theoretical speeds up to 1.3Gbps. Latest WiFi 6 (802.11ax) is much faster.
WiFi 5 also supports faster transfer rates.

Not by today's standards but if reliability is a must you can't beat a solid cable.

Also you could easily get wired equipment faster than Gigabit (10/40/100Gbps).

HDR is still extremely limited for normal content - to use HDR with things like YouTube, you need to use Google Chrome, same with Netflix (although for that you can use the W10 app instead too)

I have an HDR 400 Vesa certified monitor myself, but I'm only using that feature in certain games, and don't use that with Windows or online content since it's not so good yet.

I'm using a Cooler Master vertical GPU kit in my O11 Dynamic.

It's decent overall and pretty cheap, but if you've got tall RAM modules, you may have issues mounting fans at the bottom of the case, if you have a radiator at the bottom then it probably wouldn't fit at all.
