Okay, THIS is ridiculous when you see a full chart like that (source: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Performance_Analysis/Battlefield_V_RTX_DXR_Raytracing/4.html  ?

If you choose any other ray-tracing setting for the RTX 2080Ti than the DXR Low, it's slower than a GTX 1060 6GB in BF5 which already is faster than both lower-tier RTX models when using any DXR setting. If you use any ray-tracing at all on the 2080Ti, it's still slower than a GTX 1070...

RTX 2070 with RTX features on High or Ultra performs like a GTX 970 that's already limited in performance because of VRAM in this game.

How is the performance that terrible if the GPU has dedicated hardware to run these features and they don't actually change the visuals that much? BF games were usually fairly well optimized.

I replaced the thermal paste on my CPU, from a cheap Arctic Silver Ceramique 2 to Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut which is regarded as one of the best normal TIMs out there, I got a 1g tube for free from my buddy as he accidentally ordered two.

It looks like temps dropped by around 8-10C under my H100i V2 and allowed me to go back to a 4,7GHz overclock while having similar temps under load that I previously had at 4,6GHz with the old TIM!

A small, but great upgrade Would recommend.

So my findings seem to confirm that when you look at mobile CPU performance, you need to check for a specific laptop that you want to buy because the performance differs quite a bit from device to device due to cooling & configuration differences.

I compared online Cinebench R15 scores of the Ryzen 5 2500U CPU (4C/8T) to my own from the Acer Nitro 5 and found that:
    - In a multithreaded test, my 2500U scored 681cb points which is quite a bit more than scores from the HP Envy x360 with the same CPU which scored around 575cb.
    - In a singlethreaded test the difference isn't as large due to the fact that thinner laptops do not get as power and thermally constrained when only one of the cores is fully loaded and boost it appropriately, my Nitro 5 scored 143cb when most scores circle around 137cb.

IMO over 100cb points is a massive difference when talking about identical CPUs, so it really depends on the particular laptop model and its power & cooling design.
