I wanted to order the Founders Edition model - couldn't, first it was unavailable and then immediately went Out of stock.

Ordered the ASUS TUF Gaming one instead, for the same MSRP price. According to Hardware Unboxed it's better in every way than the FE, so that's nice.

Thread locked - I apologize, but this topic will not result in a productive discussion and it will be inflammatory.

You mean China who has the upmost respect for their own people with regards to spying and they are totally not breaking international laws and human rights laws right? And there totally isn't anything that says something to the effect of the CCP can demand any information from any company at any time and they must comply? I mean the "Great Firewall" is just an illusion created by the West right and doesn't exist to control information that gets in and out of China? This is nothing more than a farce to try and redirect away from the abuses they commit at home. Maybe next they'll say "You shouldn't steal technology, patents, etc. from other countries" -.-

The US isn't exactly clean in all of this bullcrap going on in the world today either but to act like China is a golden child that does no wrong is just as ignorant.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from BTGbullseye in What CPU do I need to get to properly handle the 3070?
Well, if you assume that the 2080Ti has similar performance to the 3070, you can assume that it may bottleneck in a few games, but it shouldn't be that bad so you can freely wait for next-gen CPU releases with your current 2600. And if you're playing at 1080p then you shouldn't be buying that card honestly 😅

Guess you won't be buying any then, it's quite certain that their highest-end card won't be under a $1000.
Well, in a datacenter there's direct A/C cooling from the intake (front) side, so it's not a problem.

For productivity workloads, I doubt you'd get anything better for the price at the moment.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Defonten in Freesync On Nvidia GPU ?!
Freesync doesn't limit your framerate, you've got to do it another way - obvious choice is enabling V-Sync or Fast Sync, however you can also use software to do that, I believe RivaTuner Statistics Server has that feature.

Never happened to me in my private use or my experience as an IT professional. If something like that occured, usually bad hardware was at fault or the PEBKAC.
The PC needs to be maintained properly, not "babysat". If you don't know how to use the system in a "best practice" way, then that's on you, not on the system.

That doesn't mean it can never happen, but it can also happen to a MacOS system or a Linux installation.

I'm sorry but that one is on you. If that wasn't your fault, then everyone else would have issues as well.

My system is working great, because it's configured well and I know how to use it properly.
