So I managed to sell my father's Sapphire RX 580 8GB Nitro+ for around 650$ and I got him an MSI GTX 1070 8GB Aero OC instead for...420$ With identical warranty period left. Quite a good deal I'd say! A better GPU and 230$ left in the pocket

It's a blower-style cooler sadly, but it's surprisingly quiet, even if you set the fan to 100% speed manually. Not too bad in a closed case like the NZXT H440 Razer that he has.

And yes, I have tested it in Firestrike and it's quite a bit slower than my 980Ti (2000 GPU score slower when both cards are at stock)

Okay, I feel like I've got to say that this is getting pretty much ridiculous. THIS ISN'T A WAY TO GO IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY.

Forcing employers to pay women equally through fines is not a good solution at all. It's actually more like admitting that women are inferior employees, and it's making the issue even worse in the long-term.
I'm sure no normal employer looks at the possible candidates to hire and says, "oh, I'll just hire the guy instead of the girl since he has a penis between his legs and I'll pay him more because of that". He doesn't want to pay more to anyone because from his perspective, it would be best if everyone worked for him free of charge.

No! Employers calculate the cost and risks that come with employing people, if they determine that hiring a man is a safer bet for them, then let them freely do it as it's a free market! They don't "hate" women and they don't think they're inferior, they just pay the most to whoever they think is the best match for the position they're offering.

And if this seems like a good idea to someone, then ask yourself this: why didn't the goverment of Iceland introduce a law that requires mine owners to employ equal amount of men and women? Since both genders are "equal", mines should have an equal amount of male and female workers, right?
Giving special rights to one of the groups means that there is no equality anymore because one of the parties got special treatment. And this is wrong.

I have an offer to sell my current 980Ti for 650USD Though I'm not sure what I'm gonna buy because everything else is overpriced right now, any suggestions on what to do? Should I stick to it or just sell it considering the amount of money? It has 1 year of warranty left.

I think I could borrow a GTX 770 2GB for the time being until GPU prices drop, but we have no indication when it's going to be... I don't want to have a potato GPU for a few months

On a side note, I managed to talk my dad into listing his Sapphire RX 580 8GB Nitro+ for sale because they go for over 700USD here right now He bought it for literally half the price less than two months ago from my friend so I'd say it's a good deal

Intel CPUs are a security mess right now, with more holes than a Swiss cheese... And people wondered why AMD released Ryzen Pro CPUs (mainly for OEMs)

Interesting info: So Gigabyte support just replied to me, I was wondering where the screw warranty sticker was located and whether taking the GPU cooler off voided my warranty so I asked about that. This is their response:

So it seems like as long as you didn't damage the card yourself, you can replace the cooler or re-paste the GPU and your warranty is going to be honored as long as you ship the GPU with the original cooler on
