A random thought: When reviewers tested RTX GPUs, they tested their power consumption in GPU-intensive games, or synthetic benchmarks such as FurMark.

However, they never tested the power draw when RT and Tensor cores were loaded, so in games that use those RTX features you're going to obviously get more power drawn because more hardware is active that way... I wonder what the numbers look like in that case.

    Unless the card as a whole is power capped and by activating those extra cores you'll actually lose performance in the traditional core.

    Also a new form of bottleneck, as BFV demonstrated you can get Tensor bottlenecked with high resolutions and ultra DXR at the same time.

    I don't know why these reviewers didn't tested that when BF:V released DXR, i was hoping tech jesus gonna test it but nope. 

     

    The only site i found tested power consumption with RTX enabled but it's pretty vague.
