So is it problematic if even after disabling all possible electronic distractions (like routers), one still gets distracted easily, and something like staring at a plain white wall can become more interesting than doing some assignment? If yes, I need to get myself checked... I have yet to learn how to force concentration on things that don't interest me in the slightest. Thoughts derail from the subject quickly, it's almost an achievement to keep concentrating on something uninteresting for even a minute... That's why I stopped doing most of the homework; inability to concentrate made me spend an hour or two on a single piece of homework (that would take any regular person only 10 - 15 minutes), and practically the rest of the day (and night) would go trying to get work done. Could only ever do stuff I actually have motivation to do. For some, stopping procrastinating isn't as easy as "Just do it, you lazy ass", it could help breaking away the vicious cycle, though.

Ah. If that's the case, then I understand it being ignorance on the advisers' part. Most of the people on this forum (or was this case on some other community?) are from US and Canada, which might make the less intelligent and/or ignorant users just assume the subject who needs advice is from North America, and don't bother looking at where the subject really is from. Additionally, they take to budget roof as "Spend X sum of money to get the most out of it" like how the more rich populus sees it (and ignore shipping, importing, taxes and other costs), and not as "Can't spend any more than this, and wouldn't prefer to spend it all" like poorer people do. And seeing how this community has quickly grown in numbers, this also means more idiots are present... Old veterans leave, and new hordes of half-brained sheep rush in, I can see why the quality of this community has degraded significantly.

In case other currencies aren't available, then USD might be a necessary evil. While the costs will be higher than US prices, it at least gives some kind of idea of the cost of products. Why USD out of all the currencies? It's possibly the most significant currency for global trading. In case there's 2 different currencies to work with or the currency is unknown / not available for whatever reason, USD is the most common workaround. So I can understand using USD for PCPP, but not so much "forcing" to use CAD (I take that as: "Didn't bother to convert", not as "force to use X currency"). And just a disclaimer: I am an idiot when it comes to economics, so feel free to correct any mistake I might have done.

Life is meh. Lacking sleep and energy, have bad grades, no job, haven't had friends in years nor does anyone want to befriend me, bullied, have lived bellow poverty line all my life... Not suicidal though. Used to be so when I was 12 - 14 years old, though I do rethink my life every time I get bullied. I'm used to being alone so lack of friends doesn't matter much, and hopefully will get to move from here after half a year, which should take most of he problems away. Might actually afford living life then, unlike now...

A large team isn't necessary for success. Small teams of merely a few people can get surprising results, though usually the quality will be better with larger teams, since more areas are covered and with people who actually specialize in said areas of development. You are right though, there are a wide variety of jobs listed on credits, even something one wouldn't immediately think to be part of game development.

I don't really own much that would be classified as "rare" or "collectible", mostly just uncommon or unorthodox things. Probably two of my rarest items are these: A (dead) Gigabyte GTX 590. It used to work in my use for about 2 years before its' death. And one of the more infamous phones of its time, the Nokia N-Gage. Only about 3 million units were made, since it was a flop. Got mine in 2004. Battery doesn't last anymore, and the charging port is damaged, making it hard to recharge it anymore. Yet it still works. After having it for 11 years, it still lives.

How? And did all of that come in a small time frame or aren't the snows cleared out every day? Shoveling that will be tedious even if it hasn't frozen solid (and if it has... Well, crap)

Car only covered in snow? That's cute... Here for several weeks you couldn't even start the engines and/or they would spontaneously die because of the cold temperature (-30°C), and that caused problems for a lot people. Nearly everyone I knew had trouble starting their cars and were late for work / school / whatever very often because of that. I don't have a car yet so I can't exactly relate, but I'd rather dig a car up from the snow than have to screw around in freezing cold temperatures for a long while. I suppose there's not enough snowfall there to warrant having a foldable shovel in a trunk, though? All we have had to do is just wipe off the excess snow and scratch the ice off of windows. Roads get cleared from snow on regular enough intervals to have no need for shoveling cars out, even in rural areas.

I'm guessing it's just use whatever according to your skill. MS paint is just preferred for the "stylistic suck" effect. The drawings are not supposed to be high-quality remakes of the original, just something quickly scribbled together, which can be done in any drawing program, really, from MS Paint to Photoshop (and in-between, like GIMP). At least that's what I have understood of what this thread is about...

Wait... Sony has a PC software you have to use in order to transfer files between PC and phone? I only remember having to use that with a camcorder I used to have (Sony HDR-CX260VE), and while it worked, it was pretty useless, and did nothing the default file-transfering mode didn't. Good that I haven't had to use that ever since (have used Zperia Z1, M2 Aqua, and DSC RX100 mk.I, none of which have to use said software). Nothing much... Now on Tuesday, woke-up around 4:30 AM, on 6:00 AM a bus should leave, and when I arrive, I have to wait an hour outside (in -22°C) because no place is open at these hours, just so I could get on our Social studies' class trip to the nearest District court (the course is about law... go figure) that starts at 7:30 AM... Apart from that, same as usual: procrastinating and getting nothing useful done.

Am I missing something? The image doesn't work for me. On-topic: Not a tech purchase, but got myself a pair of Swedish-made Woolpower Mittens 400. So far has helped with the fingers freezing easily in the cold -issue. First mittens I have worn in years, only have used gloves until this point. Ran me 20€, I'd say was worth it for these colder-than-usual winter days there has been lately. As for tech-related stuff... Sennheiser OMX 185 earbuds are still being ordered, the store I'm buying them from still hasn't got new stock after about a week.
