    Iv only just managed to reset my password yesterday after not being able to for almost 5 months.
    Sent around a dozen emails to LTT forum admins and didnt get a response over that 5 month period. (still havnt)
    Im in now though (obviously)

    There's really nothing that can handle a DoS attack.  A firewall would still be between you and the internet, but incoming traffic goes through it as well. So when (and not if) your firewall gets overwhelmed by the mass connections, your net will still go down either way.
     
    There's no stopping DDoS attacks, there is only minimizing it by spreading your service on as wide a net as possible.

    4790k doesn't give much performance for gaming. If all you do is game get the 4690k and OC the shit outta it
