  1. The projector looks amazing. The size to screen ratio is mindboggling. I can't wait until these drop in price in a decade so everyone gets a play with em.
  2. Really could use the Excalibur v2 keyboard to replace the 10€ keyboard i have which is terrible.
  3. SSD´s are just better and cooler than HDD´s. Their faster, less noisy, and just better for all them games everyone plays. And also better for editing and such, because HDD´s are potatoes.
  4. I´d get my girlfriend a Zenwatch 2. She´s not very techy but a watch would be a good intro into our world. It would also be good for her due to her lack of attention to her phone. This would make the gift a gift to everyone trying to contact her. The Zenwatch also just looks nice and won't seem like she's trying to become a cyborg and shock all of her family and relatives. http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenWatch-Android-Wear-Smartwatch/dp/B0163HRGNC/ref=sr_1_1_m?s=wearable-tech&ie=UTF8&qid=1449739720&sr=1-1&keywords=zenwatch+2
  5. Hey, Last week I built my new rig. Everything was going well. I installed the drivers for my 980 ti. Then opened up Rocket League, played for about 7 mins, then the screen was covered in green lines. Now even before booting into Windows it had green lines here and there. I looked around the BIOS and same there. I assumed it was the drivers as that was the last thing i did and assumed it was a incompatibility with Windows 10 as it's technically not yet supported. So I safe booted, uninstalled the drivers. Rebooted and the green lines where still there and so thus failed booting. So I tried getting into Safe mode, no green lines but screen is just black. The ASUS Hero VIII posts AO at this time. Well im not sure what is causing the problem. I unplugged the HDD to make sure that the drivers can't be it, but then it still has green lines. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe i should run some hardware tests but don't know of any bootable ones. Thanks My rig: CPU: 6700k CPU cooler: H60i RAM: 4x4 GB ddr4 2400 Corsair Vengance LPX MOBO: ASUS Hero VIII GPU: Zotac 980 ti Amp Omega Edition Storage: Seagate 2tb HDD PSU: EVGA Fully Modular 850W
  6. Hey all, I just built my first computer: CPU: i7-6700k CPU CoolerL H60 Motherboard: ASUS HERO VII Graphics Card: Zotac Amp Omega 980ti RAM: Corsair Vengance DDR4 2400 4x4GB Storage: Seagate 2TB PSU: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply OS: Windows 10 Education Everything was working until I go to installing the 980ti drivers. Then I opened up Rocket League to test it. Worked fine for a bit, then the whole screen was covered in green lines. I rebooted. Then green lines covered some of the screen even before i get to the BIOS. I tried just booting into Windows 10 but it went to Automatic Repair. Then i pressed restart. I went through this a few times. Then booted into safe mode and uninstalled the 980ti drivers. Then everything else started working. Reinstalled the drivers and again the green lines and not correctly booting into Windows. I tried finding issues between the 980ti drivers and Windows 10, and found out Windows 10 doesn't actually support that card. So is the driver incompatibility probably the cause of the issues? or is my graphics card bad? Thanks, Axeees
  7. I'm just looking for input on if my build idea seems decent or if it just has some weird stuff that does not make sense or that if there are parts that dont match the quality of the rest. I will not be building for eat least a month or two. Might wait for Christmas for some cheaper parts. 1. Budget & Location I'd like to keep the build at around 1200 GBP. I am located in England but i can get parts from the US via visiting friends. 2. Aim My aim is for a high-end computer which can handle things such as highly modded Skyrim with high detail texture packs.I want to be able to play GTA V, and similar demanding games. I would also want to play FPS games at a good 55+ frame rate. 3. Monitors I'll be starting off with simple 1920x1080 on a Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor, but in the future planning on moving up to 4K when it becomes a bit cheaper for a decent sized monitor. 4. Peripherals These would not be a part of the budget as i have other money set for this. I'd like to keep this around the 400 GBP mark excluding windows Logitech G502 Wired Optical Mouse Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor Corsair K70 RGB These I can easily swap with similarly priced stuff 5. Why am i building? For the experience and the to have a nice solid gaming platform for a few years to come to take advantage of Steam sales versus the PS3 high prices i've always had to live with So far i have: CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Storage: SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive HHD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 290X 4GB TWIN FROZR V Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular Case Fans: 3 x Corsair SP140 quiet editions on the top, Same 2 on the front, Then AF 120's everywhere else PCpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker...ed/#view=Vg8v6h --> in USD but 1600 is around 1000 GBP which means with the more expensive parts in the UK versus US it should make up for it just about I think Thanks
  8. I have been looking around i'd appreciate if anyone could give their opinion on this: CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Storage: SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive HHD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 290X 4GB TWIN FROZR V Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular Case Fans: 3 x Corsair SP140 quiet editions on the top, Same 2 on the front, Then AF 120's everywhere else Thanks for the help Edit: Main purposes gaming and some 3D rendering on architecture programs PCpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Axees/saved/#view=Vg8v6h
