  1. Yes I did, basically rx 480/580 are about the same price as gtx 1070 and rx 470/570 are around $80 more expensive than gtx 1060. So I just decided on nvidia since amd at those prices isn't really good. Do you think waiting for Volta will be good? I guess even 15% increase in performance over pascal would mean a lot to a system that will be used for a long time. Only thing that worries me about that are possible high prices at release and I don't feel like waiting for july next year.
  2. Thanks for you input, honestly I really have no clue which option is better. Maybe the best course is to wait additional 3-4 months in hopes of price drop if they don't rise again because of the mining. If prices actually drop I somehow might be able to get both 1600 and gtx 1070, but you can never be certain what will happen. If I do go this route with 1400 and gtx 1070 I would only have 1x8GB RAM, will that cripple the performance on ryzen?
  3. Hmm doesn't seem bad, I guess I should do either that or go with BUILD 2 as it is and in 4-5 months buy SSD. I never had SSD so I guess I can't see much value in it, it's like 144Hz monitor, seems like a waste of money until you try it. So you think R5 1400 and GTX 1060 won't have issues for example in 3 years playing 1080p medium 30-40 fps something like that ?
  4. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The thing is Importing is out of question to put in it in prospective if I import something that is valued at or over $31 I have to pay taxes on that. If that item is exactly $31 I have to pay additional $60 in taxes so imagine that. So my only options are builds I posted and even those would require me to haggle the price down. I guess I could buy some items myself for example in Germany and play dumb at customs, but don't really wanna do that xD.
  5. I do not own one and these configurations are on the extreme stretch so SSD is not possible at the time. Both GTX 980 and 980Ti are the same price as GTX 1070 when I look at prices of new cards. I watched local sites every single day for last 3 months and not once I saw any of them used, so it is safe to say that is sadly not an option for me.
  6. Hello guys, First of all I should say that most likely I would keep this build for 4+ years and that I play at 1080p 60Hz. Basically I have around $1300 budget, but in my country parts are a bit more expensive so all I want is your opinion which build is better for down the road since I will keep this build for a long time. BUILD 1 : CPU: RYZEN 5 1400 GPU: MSI GTX 1070 AERO 8G OC RAM: AVEXIR 8GB (1x8gb) DDR4 2400MHz CL16 HDD: SEAGATE Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm MOBO: ASUS PRIME A320M-K PSU: EVGA 450B Bronze CASE: MS SPECTRUM BUILD 2: CPU: RYZEN 5 1600 GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 1060 ITX OC 6GB RAM: CORSAIR 16GB (2X8) Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz HDD: SEAGATE Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm MOBO: MSI B350M GAMING PRO PSU: EVGA 450B Bronze CASE: MS SPECTRUM As far as the BUILD 1 is concerned I wouldn't have enough money for 16GB RAM, I might add additional 8 down the line or try to somehow save more to add it straight away. I plan to game on this PC and I highly doubt I will do any type of encoding, rendering etc. Only stuff I use is Visual Studio and T-SQL for my college which would be fine on 1400. Basically my question is which PC would be more future proof to make me able to game even in 4 years time (obviously with lowering details).
  7. Hello, First of all I am sorry if I wrote in a wrong place, but since I don't know the cause it seemed appropriate. I used to have windows 10 and the last update caused my CPU and RAM usage to sky rocket so I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7. Everything works perfect, except games... games won't start and I tried two CS:GO and freestyle football. CPU: i3 6100 MOBO: Gigabyte H110M DS2 Rev 1.0 GPU: AMD R7 250 1G D5 RAM: 8GB Kingston DDR4 (single stick if it matters) As you can see from the pictures CS:GO will be in the process and it will say running on steam, but all I can see when i start it is something similar to minimizing windows, but instead of it going to taskbar it disappears. I tried as many "fixes" as I could find, but nothing helped. I updated windows, deleted GPU drivers using DDU and doing fresh install, deleting cs and steam and installing again. Dxdiag doesn't find any issues and when I tried directx web installer it said that everything is ok and that I already have latest dx version. Does anyone have a clue how to fix this. Btw every other software works flawlessly, I only have issues with games. Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks a lot, I would be lost without your help... but again windows doesn't recognize drivers. I gues I'll borrow dvd drive from someone and use disc that came with mobo.
  9. Is there any way you can point me in the right direction for drivers... I downloaded bunch of stuff from gigabyte site, extracted from .rar and windows still doesn't recognize them. Like I said my board is H110 DS2 DDR4, Intel i3 6100, Kingston 2133MHz RAM... hope that helps.
  10. Well it booted up, but windows isn't working. When I attempted to reinstall it it writes down i miss some drivers. Never had issue with that before, I just plug in usb and it works, but this time it won't start, just gives me missing drivers message.
  11. Well it booted up, but it has some kind ofa windows issue.. I went trough system restore and some automatic repair and that issue remains still. But i get it up and running fans spinning... should I just reinstall windows or is something else causing it ?
  12. Well it seems firm, can't be moved without pressing the latch, 4 ping might even be stuck xD. Sooo what about the left connectors from case to motherboard is it ok without them? I kinda wanna try and boot... nothing bad can happen?
  13. Hello guys, I just bought a new PC, installed everything and what I have left is 24 pin and 4 pin cpu power. Neither will latch properly, I can't hear the clicking noise no matter how hard I push, tried some significant force and then stopped in fear of breaking the motherboard. Is it safe to turn on pc even though it didn't click? What should I do ? Also when I was connecting from case to motherboard, I am kidna short on connectors is that ok? As far as connector goes I connected one called PLED and i still have pwr led what is the difference? Btw I can't understand the 4 pin cpu power the latch thingi is looking toward psu, but on mobo 1 is written looking towards cpu so where should I turn connector to? Motherboard is H110M-DS2 from Gigabyte PSU is BFG LS 550, btw psu isn't new, connector latched on previous motherboard.
  14. I can see it spinning and as far as 2k is concerned I can see that before windows logo shows up, first it checks components than writes system temp, cpu temp, voltages, fan rpm etc. Is it possible for CPU to be dying and act this way, that is my only guess either somehow CPU is faulty or motherboard... if it was up to PSU I guess it woul've worked fine with different one, but it didn't. Fan is perfectly fine, I mean it misses one white thingy that goes through the motherboard, but it was like that for long time and I never had issues. It is stable when I try to wobble it a bit. I did absolutely no changes it just shut down during movies... I even swapped HDD to make sure it isn't a virus or something causing it to overheat and nothing changed.
  15. Hi guys, Basically everything worked fine till 3 days ago. I was watching a movie then suddenly pc shut down and when I tried to start it again it would work for 5-10 seconds then shut down again. CPU temp listed in BIOS is 93+ degrees and my understanding is that pc shuts down to prevent CPU damage. The thing is cooler is seated fine, I applied Arctic MX-2 thermal paste 2 months ago so if I did it wrong I would've had issues then. I tried different PSU and the same thing happened again with the exception that it was on for like 40 seconds( it still was 85 on boot and when I opened chrome instant shut down) , but I think that is cause that day was much cooler. Anyway since the 2nd PSU i tried work fine on this PC it's not PSU issue meaning it doesn't send wrong voltages etc. So can the reason for overheating be CPUs fault? Also my PC is clear of dust, recently my intake fan stopped working, but I still have exhaust on that case so that shouldn't be issue either. Also stock cooler is working fine 2k+ RPM when I start it. I have Core 2 Duo E8400 and I use stock intel cooler.
