  1. The alternative is to save the money and put it into the build later on, depends if the G4560 is atleast a 15% performence increase or not.
  2. Reason for the ITX HTPC is mostly down to looks. I may be playing some light games as Heroes of the storm, or I might buy a gpu like a 1050/ti/460/470 and play wow on the TV mostly it gonna be used for streaming and playing blue-reys
  3. I will build the HTPC on a ITX mobo, so I'm afraid it won't work. No ITX mobos for the AM3+ socket, that I know of atleast. I will not be able to upgrade over theese specs before the end of the year so it's either this or nothing until the end of the year. I just would like to know if it would be any improvemeant over the FX 6300 in WOW, even if it's 15% or somethin
  4. I will keep all the parts but put it in a HTPC instead of my main computer so selling it is not a problem
  5. Hi! I've been watching the pentium G4560 and watching some reviews saying that it's better than the FX 6300. I was planning on waiting on AMD zen but I just saw this cpu for 65$ instead of 80$ it usually goes for. I will not stick with this CPU, I will upgrade it at the end of this year and planned to put this CPU with MSI B250 gaming pro AC mobo and 8gb of ram into a HTPC build. I just wanted to ask for some advice if this would be a good idea or if the g4560 maybe is a bad choice and just wait and build the HTPC later. I almost excclusively play WOW so I was wondering if someone maybe new if this CPU is better for WOW or not. My setup now is FX6300 in a MSI gaming 970 mobo and 8gb DDR3. total build cost would be about 240$. I don't live in the US so the prices may not be the same here as in the US.
  6. I've just got my new 1060 from Gigabyte today and installed it and then also installed the gigabyte xtreme gaming engine for OC and such. I was planning for now just put it into OC-mode instead of gaming-mode but I when I press the OC-mode icon it does not light up as selected, is there a known problem here? I've search google for answers but can't mannage to find an answer for it. The card is the D5 version and not the G1, Gigabyte says that this card has an OC-mode.
  7. Thanks for the help, I'm pretty sure it's the MB. Then I will try and get the money for that combo. Then I will not buy any new motherboard for this system if I don't find one dirt cheap. It will be a month or 2 before I can buy the Z170+6100 combo. This works for the time being, this thread was more if it was worth paying 100$ for a new mobo and a GPU or buy a new intel system. I'm very thankful for the help. If I find a mobo cheap and get rid of the problems I will write it here so we have an defenite answer.
  8. My goal is to get the 6700k for some futureproof. I'm not sure yet, the B150 is just 50$ less than the Z170 I'm looking at. I would like to OC in the future.
  9. one more thing I can say is that the motherboard only has an 4-pin connector for the CPU. My feeling says it's the motherboard. Let's say it's the motherboard, would it be more worth it to spend 350$ on a Z170, I3 6100 and 8gb DDR4 or 100$ on a new AM3+ motherboard with better powerdelivery? I will not be able to upgrade the I3 to an I7 this year. If I go with a new motherboard I can upgrade my 750ti to something like an 960 or wait to get an 970.
  10. Here the store takes care of it in they're own shop and can only get money from Corsair if there was a problem with the PSU otherwise they take put a fee for the work.
  11. problem is if it's not the PSU I will have to pay 50$ and it would not be worth it
  12. No I'm afraid not, I through my old PSU out. All problems get worse if I overclock if that'a any help.
  13. Yeah I looked at a lot of reviews and they said that the 6300 was a perfect budget gaming CPU, then I watch a comparison between 6300 and the intel 6100 and the AMD got recked...
  14. it's a CX600M power supply. Is'nt Kabylake coming this year?
  15. Hi! I have a problem with my computer. The problem is that when I turn it on it loops 2-3 times before turning on and also when loading into specificaly WOW it sometimes freezes, could this be because of my motherboard not supplying enough power? My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P. I can't get any overclock either because then my computer will just shutdown. I was thinking either buying a new motherboard like the new MSI 970 gaming, what I've read is that I should get a board with 6 powerphases and the board I have only has 4. It looks like the MSI 970 gaming has 8. I've looked at the Gigabyte GA-990FX-gaming to but I would like to have the cheapest board I can get. The thing I want is in the future get a Z170 board with a 6700k so if the board is not a solution I can save up a little and get a Z170 and a 6100 with 8gb DDR4 in the meantime and save up for a 6700K later. What do you think I should do? Or is the problem something else? It just feels like a power delivery problem.
