I like EVGA and I'm a bit of an nvidia fanboy, but I will admit AMD is not that bad either. I just trust and use nvidia more.

No worries, I have a Noctis 450. Which is essentially the same thing as the H440, with different bezels and side panels.  
 
You wont be disappointed with the H440 or The N450. Both hands down the best cases on the market (IMO)

You can just remove the sleds, and youll be fine.

Yea I like to be safe with RAM since Chrome is so hungry. My max limit budget is around 2500 USD. I'm not into overclocking since I'm an ultra noob to it and don't want to mess it up.

Ok. So the 980 is barely a step up from 970 and if I were to get the 980 might as well just get the 980Ti because it's more bang for my buck?

Ah ok. I had a similar issue with a Sony Vaio "gaming" laptop. It heats up so quickly and the fan was crazy loud. I guess I'll have to look into the Blade more in depth.
