  1. Thanks for the clarification! Oh yeah forgot to ask, how do you clone one drive to the other? Is there a M.2 to USB adapter or something?
  2. Well if cloning works then I'll give it a try. Can't be bothered waiting to download 400GB of backup.
  3. I've been looking into upgrading my SSD from a 512gb to a 1TB drive (its an NVMe ssd). Problem is, said SSD is where I installed windows and is being used as the main drive/boot drive (C:). How would I go about upgrading it? Does cloning the data from said drive into the new drive and installing it work, and if so, how?
  4. I just figured out that the radiator mounting plate can be taken off. So per following previous advice, I shall take out the GPU and the HDD and put it in their respective anti-static bags and pack it inside my suitcase. Yeah this is called Instapak I believe. Tho I don't really have the time to go look for it as I have less than a week to pack.
  5. The hard drive is mounted directly to the railing in the case chassis. The case is an NZXT H200i which has a rail on the bottom of the case for mounting hard drives and such. Just afraid that as the case shakes or receives a shock on the bottom side, the hard drive will also get the shock causing it to break in some way.
  6. I'll store the case back in its box and stuff it with my clothing. As for the GPU it's kind hard to pull it out without taking apart the radiator which is a pain in the arse. As I said, I was thinking of stuffing the bottom part of the GPU with bubble wrap to fill the gap between it and the PSU shroud. Would that work as well?
  7. I will shortly be leaving Australia to go back to Indonesia for my summer break. I wish to bring my pc that I built a few months ago with me to Indonesia, however I don't know how I would go by packing the damn thing. My idea is that I'd pull out the hard drive and store it in my suitcase wrapped in clothes. The graphics card on the other hand was a pain in the ass to install (should have gone for a smaller form factor) as its clearance from the radiator fan is no more than 5mm, so pulling it out wont be an option. I was thinking of stuffing the underside of the gpu with bubble wrap or any packing material I have on hand as the distance between the card and the psu shroud isn't that wide. Anything else I need to worry about and/or secure? Please do let me know. Thx in advance. The attachment shows what my build looks like.
  8. I already agreed to meet the seller tomorrow, tho you may have a point with the RX580. I'll try to find some alternatives and see what happens.
  9. I already have a monitor. No its not a freesync nor G.sync. Just a normal Dell SE2147HG 24" monitor just because my laptop screen is dead and very expensive to fix.
  10. For the GPU I found a second hand one for $350 which was barely used as the seller upgraded to a 1080 almost immediately.
  11. So here's the story. I am planning on building a mini ITX build and I've sourced my parts using pcpartpicker (AU). I already finalized all the parts, except that I would like to see if my local computer parts store have some of the parts I need. Now, I chose a Gigabyte B450 AORUS I (https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/gigabyte-b450-i-aorus-pro-wifi-amd-am4-itx-gaming/GA-B450-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI) to which the guys there didn't have. However, he offered me an ASUS ROG STRIX B350-I for the same price of AU$189. Personally I trust asus products, but the b450 chipset on the gigabyte board has better specs AFAIK. Should I take up the guys offer to get the strix board or stick to the b450 gigabyte board? I'll be running a ryzen 7 2700x with a gtx 1060 6gb card plus 16gb of DDR4-3200 ram, just to let you guys know.
  12. Reconsider everything said here, AMD has no strategy nor plan, relies on old tech as reference points, has a small market share in cpu and gpu markets, relies on application of their products in consoles, performance that is ridiculous and outgunned by both INTC and NVDA, in addition to false advertising and not being able to price products accordingly, it pretty much concludes to AMD is hopeless unless they do something. Would anyone want to advise or cook up a plan or strategy in order to raise AMD's position in the market?
  13. So basically AMD doesn't have a strategy, not even pricing and they are relying on old technology as their reference point? I thought that the RX 480 could be their secret weapon to get on the winning team but it wasn't is it? I'd actually love for you to do that if you are willing.
  14. I might be a little selfish for this topic but I need help from you guys to answer this question for my business assignment. What is AMD doing in order to win over the market giants Intel and Nvidia? What strategies or factors are they using to win and how they are using it? Also give examples when possible. I am in quite a pinch so it would be great if you guys could help me out.
