  1. After a bit of research I've come to understand almost all the motherboard software asus packages with its products seems to be mostly bloatware esq. as my setup is pretty rgb heavy I'm looking for a replacement software that works with Asus motherboards and the Lian Li Uni fans. I've heard the the Corsair lighting software is pretty decent but I don't have any corsair products in my build other than my psup. Just trying to stay away from performance hindering and problematic software.
  2. ill try multiple bios and see if any give any positive results but one I tried didnt. currently have the ssd in rice as I live in a rather humid area.
  3. yes it still gets hot.
  4. So I was using my PC after doing a bios update and started having issues just today I got a BSOD with the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR then my system rebooted but my m.2 drive no longer registered as a bootable device. I have tried different ports and different drives but my 980 PRO still doesn't show as a bootable device. Is this a big rip and a warranty claim or can I fix this?
  5. this may be it but I only seem to have the issue after I pick my mouse up and place it back down but its not consistent enough to be traced but just often enough to be annoying.
  6. Off and on over the past year my 2013 razer naga has been freezing mid screen and not moving I'm pretty sure this is a sign of the end but I'm wondering if there's any way I can prolong its death.
  7. I kinda have a general feel for what is considered a "higher end" aftermarket manufacturer but when it comes to the middle ground it seems pretty muddled. I recently got a ZOTAC 3070 Twin Edge OC for MSRP and I'm just unsure where they stand on a "quality" scale. I know EVGA is usually regarded as the king of Nvidia GPUs but Galax has made some noise recently where as in prior generations they weren't really seen as a premium brand. Anyways the biggest thing I'm trying to get out of this post is how much of what is perceived as a premium product is marketing or fact and if there is actually a comprehensive listing out there of which manufacturers are of higher quality than others.
  8. through the controller and the controller is plugged into the motherboard.
  9. I recently got my new build up and running with an asus DARK HERO x570 and LIAN LI uni fans after installing all the software applicable for RGB L-CONNECT and asus armoury crate whenever I tick the motherboard sync option on L-Connect my fans max out but my RGB syncs up. I've installed the fixes on Lian Li's website and still have this issue and have set my bios fan settings to PMW and nothing has changed any new insight would be welcome. also on most up to date BIOS revision 3204. Specs: CPU: R7 5800x CPU COOLER: Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO GPU: Zotac Twin Edge RTX 3070 MOBO: ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero SSD: Samsung 980 pro 1tb RAM: 2 x 8gb Team Tforce xtreem @3600mhz CASE: 011D PSUP:corsair RMx 750w
  10. There shouldn't be an issue with that m.2 ssd just make sure there is some kind of thermal medium either from the board or on the ssd to interface heat to the cooler included. I don't think there have been heat issues, but with extended gaming sessions and quick load times on modern games it can heat up a m.2 ssd.
  11. In my newest build I decided to go with the Lian Li O11 Dynamic with the Galahad 360 AIO Uni fans and the strimmer pro cables for all the rainbow puke I could get my hands on. Everything is ordered and on its way my biggest question is it seems like I'll have some controller overlap with strimmer cables and the Uni fans. I know there is another controller with the Galahad but as I'm not using the fans included I don't think it will matter. My question is if the Strimmer plus cables can connect to the hub on the uni fans or if id have to use the controller for the cables and link it to the motherboard ARGB header giving me two controllers over my desired 1 controller preferred setup.
  12. I feel like thats the problem with graphics hardware in general its always been "wait till the next BIG thing" and ive been putting off an upgrade for 2 years now from what ive heard the vega 56 AIB cards are supposed to drop this quarter but we all know how that goes.
  13. I currently Have an XFX R9 290 its getting pretty old but still holds up rather well. I mainly play heavily modded skyrim with a lot of texture mods and feel my 4GB is holding me back and plan on upgrading to 1440p sometime down the road. Ive been looking into a used titan maxwell or a 980 ti unless the custom vega 56 aib cards come out soon just wondering what you guys would recommend as of now seeing as the gpu market is pretty bad rn.
