I have a NES lying around that I plan on making into a mini ITX gaming PC. I also have an Atari 2600 that I was going to a G3258/750 Ti build in. It doesn't necessarily have to be a PC to be cool. I would also look for an old Commodore 64 or Apple II chassis.

Plus the game was almost unplayable the first few updates

Thank you all for suggestions i tweaked it a little
i removed the water cooling (though my freind really wants to make use of this for a few years (maybe i can upgrade it for him later))
i dont think an ssd is in the budget just yet (yet another later upgrade for him(and i own 2 7200 rpm hdd there not that noiey and he wants fast loading games and needs mass storage (i thinks its a nice balance)))
im personally an Intel fan but i think the 6 core amd is right in the sweet spot for him
i did switch to the 970 which i agree over the 960 any way
and i lowered the ram to 8gb which i do thinks plenty but i wanted to give him headroom encase he did other stuff with the pc later (so yet again another potential upgrade later)

One of main things of DX12 is to reduce the need for powerful CPU for gaming, in theory gap between AMD and Intel should narrow down quite a lot with DX12.

A tip, the Cuda Cores on the GTX 970 aren't only more, but they're more efficient, in fact, the 970 beats the 780, even if it has less cuda cores (1664 vs 2304) they are more efficient, so it takes less cudas on Maxwell to equal Kepler's performance.

It seems as though you started this topic solely to bad name NewEgg and to twist their hand into giving you a refund, despite it going against their policy. You knew that this wouldn't speak well on the forum and would tarnish their reputation, and based on how people jump on news bandwagons such as thread titles alone, you acted accordingly such that to save face/ prevent assumptions, NewEgg would have to give you a refund; despite the opinion of other members including myself believing that you, not NewEgg is in the wrong.
