Sn4tchBandicoot got a reaction from Bittenfleax in SSD RAID and UEFI boot?
Missed the edit on this, I'll be doing the RAID from a hardware level in the BIOS (hopefully)

Sn4tchBandicoot got a reaction from Bittenfleax in SSD RAID and UEFI boot?
I noticed it when I was running a non-UEFI install on just the one SSD, but I don't think I'll notice on a RAID 0 non-UEFI install.

Sn4tchBandicoot got a reaction from Raffy98 in My machine froze IN the BIOS
So I set the computer to run a memtesk (passmark memtest) and left at ~60% on pass one, come back and my machine had booted back to windows, I am going to assume that there was a power failure somewhere along the line and it continued with normal boot.

Sn4tchBandicoot got a reaction from FireFox in 2x 550ti SLI vs 2x 660 SLI
Edited that in or I missed it after the fact lol
Absolutely you can, doing it right now lol
The 660 only came out 3 years ago, assuming that they are new, they are still under warranty, they only came out September 2012

I don't really wanna do the razor method, the traces are too close to surface for my liking. Much rather use the block method or vice method.

I have used both Artic cooling MX-4 and Noctua NT-H1 and they worked pretty well for me.

I don't need a billion GHz out of this chip, it's still a really good performer for what I need it to do, I ran it at stock speeds on a stock cooler for 2 full years before I decided I wanted to try my hand at overclocking.
It's been fairly warm here in the last few weeks with summer and all, so I figure if I can suck a bit of heat out then I may as well, and I read about doing this at the time but didn't matter much since I was only on stock air cooler.

Sn4tchBandicoot got a reaction from vizoomer in Something like MemTest to test all the parts of the pc ?
Most testing software only test one piece of hardware at a time and doesn't account for conflict, test from within windows to make sure nothing is conflicting with something else.

This case is great, I am actually able to mount it directly to my desk so that I can max out my desk space.
I'd rather hack this case up a bit and see if that fixes the issue first, then buy a new case if it doesn't work.
But I won't lie, that Phantek case I kinda like the look of.

I wouldn't even worry about that, that's dick all.
If it was more like someone had stepped on the rad and left a massive dent in it the size of say a cup bottom then there's room for concern, but that I wouldn't even bother worrying about.
