  1. Biostar A960D+ is the motherboard in that computer.
  2. Well the computer is a prebuilt that I bought before I knew how easy it was to build a computer. So hopefully I can find the manual online somewhere.
  3. I technically didn't wipe it within the OS. What I did was hook up the hard drive to my current computer and format it. I realize that probably wasn't the correct way but for some reason that is what I decided at the time. I also can not get into the BIOS because I have no clue what the button is and it doesn't pop up fast enough for me to see it and hitting the most common buttons doesn't seem to work.
  4. I have an old computer that I do not use anymore and would like to use it as a file server. Though my problem is when I tried to wipe windows off of the hard drive I deleted everything off of it (or so I thought) and tried to reboot and load up another operating system. Though when it booted up it said windows was corrupted and it gave me options to repair it and such. I tried to go into that menu to repair it so I could reload windows and then attempt to wipe it again but I could not get into it. Anyone have any idea what is going on?
  5. How would I create a share point?
  6. I didn't know where to post this so I posted it here in hopes that it would at least be semi-relevant. I have an old computer that I do not use anymore and I want to use it for a home server/NAS but I have no idea how to go about making one. I have looked up how to make one I did not find anything that was super useful. Also once make it how would I put everything I want on it and transfer things back and forth between it and wherever I am transferring to?
  7. I recently acquired some sennheiser HD 558s and an antlion modmic and I love them both. My only issue is once I begin gaming and there is a lot of noise going on in the game, I can't hear myself when I speak so I tend to talk really loud. All of the gaming headsets that I have used had the feature that I was able to hear myself when I spoke so I talked at a normal level. Is there a way I can accomplish this with my current setup?
  8. I want to get a stand alone mic to go along with my Sennheiser HD 558s and I am not sure which one to get. I have been looking at the Antlion mod mic and I like the style of a boom mic better than one that sits on my desk because I generally do not talk loud and it will not pick up other noise going on around me. But I have heard some things about a buzzing coming from the mic as well. Has anyone had experience with this mic? Or should I get a desk mic like the blue snowball?
  9. I want to get a stand alone mic but I am not sure which one to get. I really like the Antlion Modmic but also the Blue Snowball has gotten a lot of good reviews. Are there any others out there that are around the same price? Which one is better?
  10. I bought a Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury around a year ago and it seems that my right click is going out for some odd reason. I do not have the serial number to get it replaced by Logitech so it seems that I am going to have to replace it my self. I am not sure if I just got a bad one or what because my friend has one and he bought his around the same time I did and he has no issues. Even if I did or not I would like some ideas on a replacement or should I just purchase another? I love the size of the G402 as I have long fingers so I would prefer one that fit bigger hands. I would also prefer that it has the two side buttons on the mouse, a way to change DPI would be even better. Any ideas or should I just purchase another?
  11. Well crap, box is long gone and for some reason I removed the tag on the USB. Well I guess I am out of luck.
  12. Where do I find the serial number on a Logitech G402 hyperion fury? My right mouse button is acting up and I would like to submit a claim but I need the serial number and I don't know where to find it.
  13. Which ones are good quality?
  14. would an integrated w-if card in his pic have the same effects?
  15. So my brother is having some speed issues on wi-if and I am not sure why. The router is located in my room across the hose but it's only about 40 to 50 ft away and have never had issues in that room before. What I get on hard wire is 40 up and 5 down while he is getting 1 up and down. He is using a wi-if adapter that I got off of amazon for 15 bucks. Could that be the issue? I'm not sure what else it would be.
  16. So would something like this work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LP3AMC2/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687442&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B005VO7LG6&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0G0X0S9HZ3N8WEGGAZ70
  17. How would this work? Wouldn't the signal still be coming from the same location, just with the DAC in between?
  18. I have what I assume is coil whine coming from either my gpu or psu and I can hear it through my headphones. I can even hear it when I move my mouse around on my desktop. Would a shielded sound card help block it? If so which one would you recommend?
  19. It was a prebuilt so I have no idea what they chose when it was put together. How would I access the bootloader?
  20. I thought wipe everything, I hooked it up to my current computer and formatted it so, I mean, that should work right?
  21. It could be coil whine or it could be the cooler, either way its annoying that I can hear it in my headphones. If I move my card to the bottom PCI express slot would that help at all?
  22. I recently formatted a hard drive in an old computer of mine because I want to install Linux on it to make it into a file server. Though when I try to install it the hard drive, a windows error comes up and says that the system32 file is not showing up. "Well duh, I wiped it silly computer." It then said to press F8 for the startup options, I pressed that and the screen just flashed and showed the same screen. Then on top of that I can not access the boot menu on my motherboard because I do not know what key to press and my monitor doesn't turn on fast enough for me to see the screen that tells me. I know if I am having troubles now I am probably going to have a hell of a time once I get past this, but I guess you have to learn somehow.
  23. So my graphics card emits a noise that seems like the fan since it is not high pitched like coil whine, and I can hear that noise in my headphones when I am playing games. Would a shielded sound card help eliminate this? The headphones are plugged in the ports directly on the motherboard in the back of my PC.
