  1. My friend has recently upgraded to windows 10, since then his computer has been going to standby after playing games but cannot leave standby, having to turn off his PC entirely. Games that have crashed has been War thunder, men of war assault squad 2, world of warships, and other games. He thought it was an overheating issue at first so he bought a new water cooler and case for better air flow, but this proved unsuccessful, still crashing in games. The new cooler he bought is a corsair H55 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :3
  2. I backed up my all my pc's files onto a new hard drive with windows backup system because I needed to change my motherboard over and I didn't want to go through all the game downloads again (Slow internet). The motherboard swap went fine and a fresh copy of Windows 7 is installed, the problem is when I try to restore the back up through windows back up/restore system it only restores about 10% of my files. The back up hard drive shows it is nearly full with all of my files yet I can't restore the files to my empty drive nor can I access any of the files on the back up hard drive as they don't show up, despite it showing that it is almost as full as my main drive was before the fresh install.
  3. Thanks a lot for the advice guys :3
  4. I'm soon to be changing my motherboard, I was wondering what the best way is to re-install windows 7 while keeping all of my old files, such as games, music, etc.
  5. Thanks a lot for the help :3
  6. What motherboard would you suggest to replace this one? With a reasonable price
  7. Thanks for the tip :3 And I'm using GPU Tweak to monitor my gpu, and coretemp to monitor my cpu. I'll run some games using msi afterburner to see what it says, thanks
  8. My gpu never goes over 70°C but still drops in usage. And it says in coretemp it reaches 255°C when the fps stutters, my cpu normally runs at about 40-65°C then spikes to that exact number everytime, to slowly go down to normal until the next stutter.
  9. I am having troubles with my computer. When I try to run games like battlefield 4, GTA 5 and anything else that runs heavy on the CPU I gets major FPS drops. I recently did a big overhaul on my computer, updating the processor, GPU and PSU. My new specs are as follows; CPU: AMD FX-8320E GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 (Windforce) PSU: Corsair CXM750W Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P21 (FX) RAM: 1 stick of 8GB at 1333MHz (Team) Harddrive: 1TB Seagate Barracuda drive. When my computer is running these heavy games the stats on my CPU say it's running at 255°C while my GPU drops suddenly from 40% usage to 20% give or take I was wondering if anyone knows why this might be? I was thinking it may be the RAM as it runs lower than the average ram speed now of 1600Hz but obviously it could be something else entirely different. It only happens on some games however. BioShock Infinite and Assassins Creed III to name a couple do not suffer from this problem. I have had this problem since I bought my PC, upgrading it hasn't changed anything with this problem so it is very frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
