  1. This is making me reconsider building a Mini ITX ... anyway other cooler 980 ti alternative?
  2. My next system is going to be a Mini iTX. I know the form factor does cap the expansion possibilities, but that's not an issue for me. So far, I'm eyeing the Corsair Obsidian 250D (https://youtu.be/GdzsEXr2Kq8)
  3. Goooood.... goood. Now we play the waiting game.
  4. Is this thing even real? I only see sites from like eastern Europe writing about this. I feel like this is some ploy by the Russians to weaken my resolve and make me buy a lame monitor.
  5. Interesting. Need more details...I guess I'll wait until it's widely available.
  6. I'm so glad I didn't start my shopping list a week earlier. Procrastination FTW
  7. *drool* That is one sweet machine. Why WIndows 7, btw? I'm putting together a similar machine, but less gaming and more processing. Is it worth getting Windows 8.1?
  8. GTX 980ti just came out! Alright, downgraded the CPU to a 5930K, removed a stick of RAM (if this seems like a choke point, I'll add the extra later), and removed the 6TB drive... I'll go external for storage.... and added the 980 Ti - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Gh2fcf
  9. ~$3.8K Interesting. I'd go back to the 5960X. I went with the 5960X because I want processing power to handle many simultaneous synthesizers and sound effects. Nice to have the DDR4 RAM speed bump, but that 4GHz on the 4790K is pretty sweet for gaming. I'll have to rethink this part. The storage is to deal with all the audio libraries and videos. They are massive, but don't need to access them all. Loading them into a project will copy the files over to the SSD. oooohhh!! I think I'll wait for the 980ti
  10. I'm new... woot! Thanks for this awesome forum. For months I've been wanting to put together a new PC to replace my 8-year-old Core Duo nonsense. After watching this sick video, I figured I'd go compact also, since I'm living in a dorm situation. I need a machine for gaming (Battlefield 4), amature 3D rendering, digital painting, and prosumer music recording/editing/mixing. I want to be power efficient, too, but I'm not sure about 650W PSU. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FCqQvK
  11. Looks sweet. I love the PSU efficiency. What monitor are you going to use?
  12. Are you planning on adding another video card for SLI? The PSU (850W) seems excessive, if not.
