  1. Ah okay, yes I agree. I had the offset at -2 before and was able to run much lower voltage to hit 5ghz, however in Battlefield 1 and GTA V i noticed the clocks fall down to the AVX offset, and in other games they'd stay up or fluctuate, so I got rid of it at the end lol.
  2. Go on steam and sort games by price. Then find the one that fits the 1 euro mark with the best reviews. Done
  3. Just delid and don't use avx offeset? I run my 8700k at 1.385v @5ghz with no offset and it's great. Max temp during prime95 was 76C on the hottest core with a simple 240mm AIO (Kraken X52). Room temp was around 24C ambient. The airflow in my case is amazing though.
  4. The solution is to not be away from your computer. /thread
  5. They feel different basically. MX Reds are the most popular (not the loudest but you will hear them), however they do not have a satisfying click that many desire. Browns and Blues do as far as I remember. It is worth googling this and finding a youtube video which showcases each switch and how they sound/feel.
  6. No such thing as best keyboard. In terms of quality, yes it is up there but it depends if that is what you need? For example I have no use for the extra macro keys so I stayed with the K70 variant instead, then you have to choose the switches you desire (MX Red, Blue, Brown, SPeed ect...) You won't be disappointed with Corsair keyboards though.
  7. Probably not since more and more devices are moving to DDR4, just accept it and buy the ram you need, It's what I did.
  8. Yes as it's quite a bit faster. If you have the cash and want to "futureproof" yourself then get the 1070 ti
  9. That's exactly it, I was actually going to go with the one you suggested first, but running a quick google on it there are so many issues with Windows 10 drivers for most Wifi Cards (even up in the £100 range) that I am a bit sceptical to buy. It is needed for work and last thing I want is to deal with technical issues related to drivers. I ll do a bit more searching and see what else I can find, but as with everything lately the frequent W10 updates are cancer imo.
  10. Hello guys, I need a wifi card for my new build at work: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/iiNNeX/saved/FHv7hM It needs to be fully Windows 10 compatible and within reasonable budget. Any suggestions? Thanks
  11. Hmm that's odd, the X4 mode you have I also have on my screenshot, but mine is left at default X2, the setting below is the one that affects the 960 for me. Not sure in that case, probably worth asking on Asus ROG forums as no doubt this is a common issue.
  12. No mate, it's here: My mobo is newer but BIOS should be very similar I think.
  13. The 1030 doesn't use much power nor does it get very hot. The passive one will work fine, assuming you have 2 fans in your case...
  14. Why do people buy that junk.... Also on that advert further down it states: "Warm Tips: GPU Chip is second development. " .... What?!
  15. Did you go into BIOS and change the PCIE speed to 4x from 2x (default) ? I had to do that for my 960 Evo.
  16. Razer Deathadder Elite. I have 3 deathadders in total, all still working perfectly fine and build quality and software is great. Edit: just as an FYI, Razer Mice are the only things I recommend.
  17. Mine sits at 50-55C so not sure bud, then again my case airflow is amazing.

Can we just call RAID 0, AID? Since it's not re…

Never had RAID 0 fail on me, and I've ran 4 SSDs in Raid 0 for a couple of years now.
  19. An r5 1600 is a bottleneck at any resolution to a 1080ti It's not just about GPU load. I know because I had that scenario too, now with a 5ghz 8700k games run much faster, 15-20% faster.
  20. My 5ghz delidded i7 is running at 1.39v with 0 offset and in prime 95 the max temp I get is 78C after 2 hours with AVX instruction stress test. For cooling I just have a Kraken X52 with Corsair ML Pro fans running at a reasonable curve, not too loud. My case has amazing airflow though and the thermal paste I use is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut (conductonaut was used for delidding). In games CPU never goes above 60C.
  21. Yeah I guess, it really depends what you value. It's either 2-3 more fps on average or better temps/cooling/aesthetics.
  22. Actually you are right: However temps and noise are much better on the Ti, in this instance.
  23. That case is amazing indeed, here is the PC I built last year in it:
  24. Which is slower in games, especially compared to a Custom PCB 1080ti. That's why i'm asking
