  1. OMG thank you so much man, you really saved me here
  2. The easiest way for me to do this was by making some links on the three sides that I am using with the pricetag limited to my budget, I hope this is fine 8250U: Proshop 8250U Dustin 8250U Fønix Computer 8250U 8550U: Proshop 8550U Dustin 8550U Fønix Computer 8550U And thank you for the help btw
  3. That sounds nice! HP Pavilions have always had a fine bang for the buck ^^
  4. XPS seems a bit out of my price range, but the inspiron could be a go. What are your reasons to suggest those two?
  5. Hi all I am in the middle of my Master in Computer Engineering, and my old laptop is running on it's last days. Because of this, I am looking for at new laptop that will take me through my last year and a half through university. I already have a gaming rig for my needs, so what I am looking for is a light-weight laptop, maybe even an ultrabook, that can sustain programming (C, C++, Java and python), matlab, some few simulation tools and maybe a bit of unity. Because of this, I am not in need of raw strength and would rather spend my money on portability, battery and storage (1TB could be nice, but 500GB should be fine). I am from Denmark and the places I normally buy from are https://www.proshop.dk/, https://www.dustinhome.dk/ and https://www.fcomputer.dk/ My budget is around 7.000 DKK (~950€), but if there are some excellent laptops that cost more, please share them with me. My knowledge on laptops is not that great, and I hope some of you can help me. Regards
  6. True, I will remember to keep that in mind when going over the different cases with him.
  7. Plus the price is amazing! I think that you are right, this seems like a winner.
  8. A big change in parts, but there is some I haven't looked over yet. Thanks a bunch man, this is really helpful!
  9. Now you've hooked me. But can it stand up to the R4!? I will let my brother decide, but you've intrigued me
  10. I have shown him some as of now, and it seems like he likes the R4, but I will show him all the suggestions and talk with him about it again. Thanks for your suggestion
  11. Wupsy, well ITX is possible, but he seemed to like the R4 I showed him, and he would rather have a stylish case rather than a gamery case. That one actually looks sick. I hope it got good space, I'll talk with him about it Thanks for your suggestions
  12. No Colour Scheme at first, but he won't mind having one. But I was going for a Define Desing R4 case without window, because I love that case. Size: Mid-tower. ITX would be too big in my opinion. Preferances: None. I myself would go for an NVIDIA graphics card, because the new GTX 1070 is a pretty nasty beast for the price, and then I was just gonna go for an Intel CPU. I myself is a Asus lover, but I have good experience with all the companies, so whatever's good, goes.
  13. Greetings So my brother wants to go from console gaming, into the magical world of PC gaming. To do so he gave me the quest, to acquire him the machine to do so. So here I come to gain wisdom, from those who know! Okay enough with that, here is the PCP link, with details of what I've come up with so far. He has stated that he might look into OC'ing, so I've tried to come up with a build that gives him some slight possibility, but I must admit that I went for a GTX 1070 with the budget he gave. 1. Budget & Location Budget is 10,000 DKK, here in Denmark (high tax country). I will primarily (if not only) be buying from dustinhome.dk (mainly) and proshop.dk. They've both been good to me in the past and have overall good pricings. The budget is not final, and when I went over the list I had so far we decided to throw in some upgrades on a non-standard GTX 1070, a CPU cooler and an SSD, which made us get past the budget slightly. He told me that he might want to put extra money into it if it made good sense. 2. Aim A Gaming PC that is able to run games like Stellaris and Total War: Warhammer, high settings. The aim is also future triple A titles, like Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Other than this it will be used to do basic stuff like, web browsing and office use. It will not be used for heavy graphics design or video editing etc. 3. Monitors Monitor is part of the budget, but I've been honest with him and said I would go for a cheap 1080p monitor for a start, and when he gets the extra money, buy a high end monitor that is really good. He seems to agree, and it is an easy upgrade that he won't need to use way too much time on decisions in the future. The monitor I've found so far (Not part of PCP link since I couldn't find it) is a Philips V-Line 240V5qdab; 23.8", 16:9, 1920x1080, ADS-IPS. An overall fine monitor on the cheap. Link Here. 4. Peripherals Peripherals were part of the budget as well, but I have an extra mouse I am giving him, and he'll simply start with the cheapest keyboard we could find (50 DKK) and upgrade when he gets some extra money to get a mechanical. 5. Why are you posting here? I am posting here because I know there is a lot of enthusiasts on the site, that hopefully will give me some advice on whether or not to use some of the parts I've found so far. I appreciate any help I can get and hope you guys will do so, in order for me to give my brother a strong "First PC".
  14. Hey guys I have for some time been wanting to watercool my rig. I know the case is not the best for it but I just want to make it cold and silent. (atleast more than what I can do with fans.) But I am all new to watercooling and am not quiet sure how many radiators, and what kinds of radiators I can fit in this case. Plus I would like to watercool both my CPU and my GTX780 (gigabyte OC edition). First problem, I have no clue where to buy the stuff here in Denmark. I was hoping that any of you know a retailer here or just someone that ships to Denmark that have everything I need. Second problem, I don't know anything about what is needed for an efficient waterloop. Or rather what type? Like which pumps are great etc. I know this is a lot of open questions but I just don't know where to start.
