  1. When the USB is plugged in I can't get past the RoG error screen and the machine will only boot when it is not.
  2. I have my new gaming machine for about two weeks and today I received the error "USB device over current status detected". I solved this issue by removing the header of a damaged USB port but now after a few minutes of running my monitors enter power saving mode and the machine will power cycle. It flashes the RoG logo then the Windows logo before sitting on a black screen. My specs are ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger motherboard, EVGA 750 Watt PSU, 16gb of G.skill Ripjaw 3000, NVIDIA GTX 980, Intel Core i5 6500.

    CPU_Fan Error

It is a stock Intel cooler, I have verified multiple times that the fan is connected using different headers and I have disabled QFAN control including ignoring the fan speed limit.

    CPU_Fan Error

Yes. I have restated the wire multiple times, including different headers. The fan DOES spin even with the error. I went into the BIOS and saw fan speed limit set to 200rpm. I tried resetting CMOS, turning off QFAN Control, ignoring the fan speed limit, and not running the fan.

    CPU_Fan Error

I just got done building my new gaming PC and I have run into the following error: CPU Fan speed error detected. Ensure that the CPU can is properly installed on the CPU_FAN header or adjust/disable the Fan Speed low limit option the UEFI BIOS. Motherboard is an ASUS Maximum VIII Ranger.
  6. It would be awesome to have either but I would pick the Blade 14 because it would be nice playing games above low res and textures for a change.
  7. Hi, I recently received a Dell T5500 Workstation through my Work and decided to use it as an 8 Core Gaming Rig like how Linus did on his Build Video but I am achieving less performance than I would have expected. I downloaded MSI Afterburner and decided to monitor my Core Temps, Core Usage, Memory Usage and GPU Usage. The game I was playing when I did this was Star Wars: The Old Republic. Specs OS: Windows 10 Processor: Dual Intel Xeon X5570 Quad-Core 2.93 GHz Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 RAM: 12Gigs of IBM PC3L 106000 ECC Temps were staying around 50 Degrees C. RAM Usage stayed 6% or less. Core Usage on low settings was 50%. Core Usage on Medium settings was 30% or less. Core Usage on Ultra was 30% or less. Cinebench CPU Test 1: 484 cb. CPU Test 2: 493 cb. OpenGL Test 1: 13.30 fps. OpenGL Test 2: 13.41 fps. Aside from GPU I expected performance to be better than my old PC not Worse, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Not sure if this counts but, my Dad spends most of his time at the Computer, relaxing, searching the web and generally enjoying himself (but far from a "Techie") but a couple Weeks ago his old Office Chair broke and I was going to get him a new one, something a bit more expensive and durable hoping it would last longer because right now he is using a Wooden Stool from the Shed. Thanks for running this Giveaway and all of the Vids you guys do!. http://www.amazon.com/Vertagear-Racing-Series-S-Line-Ergonomic/dp/B013VVJJZG/ref=pd_sim_sbs_196_7?ie=UTF8&dpID=41TOD9ooFWL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR107%2C160_&refRID=1MKNTNASQHS3P3BE5QQM
  9. It's a cool little system and I have been in need of an Upgrade for some time so it would be cool to win something for a change.
  10. @ MattTheMayor - I currently live in Alabama and my budget is $1000 USD. I'm not looking for maximum performance or anything, just something decent that will run some newer games smoothly. The two reasons I am buiding a new machine is because I want to have a futureproofed build and because I want to build one myself, from the ground up. Thanks for the Suggestions Opcode and DarkBlade2117, I think I will go with the 970 and a Samsung 850 SSD. Now, as far as motherboards, do you guys have any recommendations for those?
  11. Hi, I plan on starting a new custom build to upgrade from my current Machine. Current System Specs: Processor - Intel Quad Core i5-3450 CPU 3.10GHz RAM - 8G of Generic DDR2 Ram Mobo - (Very low end, cannot remember what it is) PSU - 650W HDD - 1TB GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti The new System Specs I plan to Build with are as Follows: RAM - Kingston HyperX FURY 2x8G Sticks Motherboard - Asus Maximus VI Hero Processor - Intel Core-i7-4790k PSU - Any Suggestions? SSD - Intel 730 Series 240G GPU - I plan on using my current GTX 750Ti but I want to know if I "Should" upgrade that as well or not. I have no problems with it at the moment as Grapics are not a BIG deal to me, I just want to be able to run games with decent performance. If you guys suggest I should Upgrade it what Card/s should I look into?. Thanks.
