  1. GTX 760, really it's fine for me, but still red team all the way
  2. I suppose the tech behind it is interesting, but it's a weird item for LG to sponsor a video for. Still awesome and my blank wall would love it!
  3. I would go with the Vive. I don't know much about the Razer, but currently I think that the Vive would get more use. Personally I would wait to buy VR unless you really want to be on the cutting edge because it's very susceptible to change
  4. Shitty Dell MEMEbrane... Mechanical Master Race!
  5. Installed stock cooler, stock speeds on CPU. Temps are still rising, although much slower this time, about half a degree per minute. Currently it's in the mid 60s
  6. I was just using my computer to do homework, on chrome with the CPU utilization at around 15%. I start to hear the radiator fans spin up and I decide to check core temp. 99 C. This was odd because the radiator was cold. At first I thought that my mobo temp sensor was malfunctioning, but after seeing the LEDs on the h80i GT (with no data connection to the computer), go red, I ruled that out. I pulled out the waterblock and CPU and replaced the thermal paste. Booted into the UEFI... Up goes the temp. At this point I'm thinking that it's either the pump on the h80i GT is no good, or that my CPU is no good. To confirm one or the other I'm about to pull out the board and try again with the stock cooler on and see how that works. I'll keep this thread updated, but if there are any suggestions, let me know. Thanks! Also, sorry for typos...I love mobile /s.
  7. I have an old Inspiron 530 and a while ago I sold the CPU and cooler for it. Well today I realized that was a bad idea and went to FreeGeek to buy another one. I accidentally got a pushpin style cooler that will be fine if I'm able to remove the backplate, which seems impossible as there are no screws or anything. Maybe it's held on my adhesive, or my google-fu is off today. Anyone know if it can be removed/how? Thanks!
  8. I DON'T mean a wireless connection to another router to increase distance, here's what I do mean: I have a fairly large house and my new room has pretty crap wi-fi in it from the router downstairs. I have an Ethernet cable routed through the house up to a "play room" sort of area, one room over from my room. Is there a way to use that Ethernet cable to basically make another access point that leeches off of the router downstairs? Thanks!
  9. I'm attempting to use the PCB from an old external hard drive I had laying around with a different drive. The interface looks much like this except with a power in (which is plugged in using the power adapter it came with): It doesn't show up in This Computer or Disk Management, is there any way to get it to work?
  10. My current keyboard is a shitty mushy dell membrane
  11. Not everyone looks for CPUs to play games...
  12. SSDs are awesome, a d right now I deal with a SATA 2 drive Thanks for the giveaway!
  13. I'm using a 430 watt right now, would the EVGA 550 GS be good?
