  1. Everyday I use both Samsung’s Wireless Trio charger together with its 25W Super Fast charger (with an S21), and I also use Apple’s 20W charger to charge my 11” M1 iPad Pro. Sadly, the iPad just refuses to work with Samsung’s charger. It shows its charging and instantly disconnects, only to instantly reconnect, and the cycle continues endlessly. Fun fact, the iPad works just well with Samsung’s 15W adaptive charger. But sadly, that charger powers my Wireless Trio so slowly that its not even worth it. So, what charger would you recommend me to power both of my devices? I know GaN is coming strong this year but I simply don’t trust ugreen and Amazon’s 100W charger looks a bit too big. if it is able to power both devices at once it would be a BIG win.
  2. Usb-c dongles aren't quite as good for some reason. They either dont support 2 ring headphone jacks, severely decrease audio quality, have unstable charging outputs, get REALLY hot, or straight up stop working after a while. I've had a few before for my macbook but I never thought the usb-c dongle problem would also translate to android phones. Such a shame, add that Google and Samsung track and sell most of whatI do on the phone, plus the 3 updates it'll receive in around 2 years, and its really disheartening to try and use this phone like I already use my S10e.
  3. As I said in my other post, wireless charging isn't really an option for anything other than leaving my phone idle, it's also a slow charge when I need it on the go and it would be too bothersome to just hold in my hand. I already own the BTR3, sadly, having an extra device that needs to get charged isnt the most efficient solution. Still, thanks for taking your time to answer!
  4. Yeah... I'm not really sure about using a wireless charger in any situation other than charging the phone while I sleep, plus I actually might want to hold and use my phone while it charges. Would you even try to take a wireless charger to an airport? Thanks for the suggestion tho.
  5. My guy, I placed my S10e on the ground face down with a spigen tough armor case, and 5 seconds later I picked it up with a scratch on the screen. Of course the ground ain't a lvl 6 blade with deeper grooves at lvl 7, but phones are just made like that. There's a reason no base warranty covers accidental damage straight out of the box. Sometimes you get it and sometimes you get got.
  6. I did check that one up, but sadly it doesn't work with 2 ring connectors and it also seems to be rather polarizing among reviewers in terms of quality and performance. I'm starting to think the same, thank you.
  7. I do have a little OCD because I usually use the same smartphone for 2 years before I get a new one, and my current S10e needs to be charged at least 3 times per day. Add up that I know how bad (and even harmful) most USB-C dongles are thanks to me owning a Macbook, and it's a recipee for disaster. I was planning on replacing my battery, but I figured out I'm tired of not getting barely any updates when there's some clear issues that need fixing. I'd rather just update to a newer phone.
  8. I really don't mind waiting 4 months to see if the Apple 13 is a worthy upgrade. But if people already know the updates will be minimal, say an iPhone 12s with improved 5G and 16k video recording (which I'll never use), I'd rather just get the 12 already. And thanks for the insights on the S21, I was already having a hard time figuring out how am I supposed to use my headphones while charging for the ~2 years I'd have it... what a world we live in.
  9. I have a 2 year old S10e now that I have to charge 3 times every day. Right now, Samsung's trade in system lets me upgrade to an S21 for 400usd. However, there's the dongle situation. I made another post asking if there's a reliable dongle to both charge and use my headphones at the same time, but after some research and asking around in other forums, I doubt there's one that I'd feel completely comfortable with it's performance. My original plan was to update to an iPhone 12 whenever they announced they'll release the "stop app tracking" feature, since privacy is very important to me. I was ready to pay almost 900usd for a privacy pop up, that's how much it matters to me. Then I started doing some research and apparently the battery life isn't really that good, and iOS is rather restricting from an Android POV. That's when I saw some iPhone 13 "leaks" claiming it could have a fingerprint sensor and better battery life (maybe even the new display the iPad Pro has, M1 chip, and headphone jack. I know I'm nuts, let me dream). Both are features I'd absolutely love to have on an iPhone and would make it a solid first choice for me. Also, iPhones have their dongle life pretty much solved, there's clear solid options that work really well without much trouble. Totally opposite than what I'm looking at with Samsung. So my question is: Is it worth it to upgrade to an iPhone 12, wait for the 13, or just take the S21 (which I'm not sure how many headaches it'll give me with few updates and dongle trouble)? Know that I'm fine with my S10e right now. However the battery life is abysmal and I'm kinda getting tired of Android, I definetly want to update my device this year. Thanks!
  10. I'll probably buy the S21 soon and something's been on my mind for a while. How am I supposed to hear music and charge the phone at the same time? I've tried looking at some dongles but either they don't work for audio, stop working after a few days, or notably lower the audio quality. And since they'll be charging my phone, the power output should be controlled without causing damage to the phone. I have some more expensive iems and headphones I regularly use with my phone (s10e), and sometimes I don't have enough battery so I charge them at the same time (I'm doing that right now). So far I think the Belkin Rockstar is the best option, but I read the sound quality is rather bad. What are some good dongles I can use?
  11. Linus said in in S21 video that he goes out of his way to find cables that charge his phones at 5 Watts in order to better preserve battery life. RIght now I'm close to buying an S21 (Samsung's trade offer lets me buy it at 400usd), so naturally being 2021, I need to get my own wall charger. The one I'm close to buying is the RAVPower 65W charger with USB C for the S21 and USB A port for both my iPad and Airpods. So, naturally, the S21 will be fast charging all the time, effectively lowering the battery life after a year or two (my 1.5yo S10e needs to be charged at least 3 times a day). However, I'm having a bit of trouble finding USB-C to USB-C cables with the 5W power transfer capacity Linus talked about. Do any of you have any idea where might I find one of those? Thank you.
  12. So, I've had samsung devices since 2016, my current one being the s7. I fully intended to wait for the (probable) reveal of the new Pixel 4a this October, but right now there's an offer on Amazon with the s10e for around 590usd. Here's the main pros I see in both devices: s10e Expandable storage Fast No hissing sound when using 3.5mm jack Water resistant Wireless charging Pixel 3a Cheap Constant updates Google LDAC Camera So, what do think? Should I wait for the reveal of the new Pixel or just get the s10e on Amazon?
  13. Oh I'm sorry for not mentioning display size, but I think a 15.6" display is the biggest I'd be willing to get. Just changed that in the original post. Also I also checked that model with the 15.6" display which seemed like a pretty good option. But after some research it seems to get really hot after a while, fans are noisy, speakers are not out of the ordinary, and apparently its size is compared to a 17" laptop. Other than that, the availability for upgrade still makes it a solid option, its just those heat issues which have given me too much trouble in the past that I can not ignore.
  14. Hi, so I've been looking at a gaming laptop which could be able to run games like MGSV, Fallout games, Bioshock, and Witcher (those are the most demanding games I play) with decent FPS and graphics, while also be able to take it to school. So there are options I've been considering like the Alienware 15 R3, Dell Inspiron 7559, Asus GL553VW. I would not be willing to get something bigger than a 15.6" display. I'd say the most I'm willing to pay would be $1,300~1,400 USD and that's for the Alienware since I think its a pretty good value, but saving money on a cheaper equivalent is never a bad option. There's also the possibility of keeping my current laptop Lenovo Y40-80 with i5-5200 CPU and AMD Radeon R9 M275X, which is not horrible since I can play some games like Fallout 3 and Bioshock1 at mid-low settings at around 30 FPS. Problem is when under pressure, even games like LoL drop at around 3-10 FPS for 5-10 seconds, which is obviously not optimal for gaming and other performance issues with normal college tasks. So the other option is keeping my laptop and build a desktop for around the same price as the Alienware. NOTE that I travel a lot and even when being home I go to lan parties with friends around 2-3 times a week, so portability is definitely the preferred option. What opinions do you have? Also any other not listed option is welcomed. Keep in mind that I'm from Mexico and 1USD = 21MXN (thanks Trump).
