  1. Not necessarily.... What OS are you running??? When I plug an external monitor into my laptop the laptop's own display is hidden in device manager. Start by connecting your TV via HDMI with the laptop screen closed. Boot into windows (assuming you are running windows?) and get to the desktop Then open your laptop screen whilst it is still connected to the TV Then right click on the desktop and click display settings This is what I get when I open my laptop up This is what I get when I close the screen: I've got 2 1080p monitors connected.
  2. Also you haven't set your memory XMP profile, not that that will have any affect on your CPU temps mind...
  3. I'd offer around $1200 USD for that system 9700KF + 2060 super + 16GB DDR4 is a grand on their own new so.......
  4. Ah you said you tried uninstalling and reinstalling - you didn't mention you used DDU There IS a difference!!!
  5. DDU and install from scratch - nuke the site from orbit - it's the only way to be sure.
  6. That's your problem right there, have you tried connecting the fans directly to the fan headers on your mobo? That way at least you know your fans work and the problem lies with the controller.
  7. It is safe as long as safe mode accepts your password I was using PIN instead of password to log in using windows 10 and safe mode would not accept my outlook password or PIN Try to enable local admin account before booting into safe mode.
  8. You could use Amazon netherlands https://www.amazon.nl/b?ie=UTF8&node=4550510031
  9. What he said Anyway, have you tried putting a 144 fps limit on to match your monitor? Also have you considered it might just be a poorly written game For example, COD:MW 2019 the main menu dips to like 20 fps for me (rig in sig) for a few seconds every time it loads but in game I get 150fps @1080 high settings
  10. 16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1333MHz (18-18-18-44) I didn't know DDR4 could run this slowly???
  11. You ain't gonna get a 500GB or 1TB NVMe SDD for $50-70 USD tho
  12. OK, in that case I vote for the 500GB Samsung 970 Evo plus.
  13. Sounds like you need more monitors not a faster cpu as the i7 8550u should be more than enough for your needs, why not buy 2 monitors and hook them up to your laptop?
  14. What spec is your motherboard??? If its for the rig in your sig you might not be able to go with NVMe due to those mobos not supporting the full pciex4 bandwidth so you won't get max read/write performance unless you mount it to a PCIE riser card like this: https://www.ebuyer.com/816612-startech-com-m-2-pcie-ssd-adapter-x4-pcie-3-0-nvme-m-2-pex4m2e1?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51482425139&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=Cj0KCQiAmsrxBRDaARIsANyiD1oYz8w69DQUivSKdk8xBmlgch6kZtzimFBk5FsMQUHVwCEt67GcvtkaAlnoEALw_wcB you'll have to find the equivalent for your country, newegg amazon etc...
  15. News flash 720p is not high resolution dude!
  16. Feel free to swap stuff in/out to match your preference Came in $80 under budget: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/fMJHRk
  17. I had this problem, I had to take out all my other drives and leave only the M.2 drive on the motherboard to be able to install windows 10 then after installing it re-attach your other drives
  18. The memory could be your problem: Memory Types DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V The 6700 only supports upto DDR3 1600 - you have 1866 So you should probably just down clock your ram to 1600
  19. What speed is your memory? You say its DDR3 Is it low power? the 6700 only supports low power DDR3 RAM https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/88196/intel-core-i7-6700-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-00-ghz.html Switch to DDR4
  20. Where are you looking??? Use PCPartPicker https://www.umart.com.au/ADATA-XPG-512GB-SX8200-Pro-M-2-NVMe-SSD_48561G.html?utm_source=au.pcpartpicker.com&utm_medium=Website&utm_content=&utm_campaign=commissionfactory&cfclick=e8bb8dd6523c4cc482aa221a33d1de3c SX8200 Pro is $115 in UMART 3500 read/3000 writes is quicker than the 970 evo - 3400 read / 2300 write Get the SX8200 it's a no brainer
  21. Can you tell me how Z390 is superior to x299 for gaming? Z390 limits PCIe lanes That's really about the only difference I can think of so why would he limit himself????
  22. OMG so much wrong with this.....where to begin..... Firstly is this from PCSPECIALIST as it sure looks like it??? Why the Z390 platform why not X299? 2x2080s why? Why not 1x2080ti? Why not 1x6TB HDD why 1x4TB and 1x2TB?????? Why 128GB M2 SATA based SSD? Why not at least a 256GB Samsung 970 evo NVMe drive? If you go with the 970 evo.......no need for 32GB Intel Optane (stupid idea anyway - completely pointless....) PSU probably slightly OP but meh go for it if you can afford it.... ?
