  1. Wasn't there a Dell Alienware thing you could hook up that could house a full size GPU?
  2. £2200!!! Mate go here and go custom https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/laptops/ Clevo lappys might not be as nice looking as MSI but they will match spec for spec and be a damn sight cheaper
  3. One of those clevo's with a NVMe drive, next xmas pressie for sure
  4. Same gen as my laptop, only let down by screen res I'd say in the region of £350-400
  5. 2 years old with 970m? Typo methinks 670m???
  6. That makes more sense but a bit misleading, don't most people go by the TOTAL score NOT just GPU score? Still, you've still got the whole ramgate thing with the 970
  7. Have to admit after reading that, I agree with @TheProfosist
  8. You raise an interesting point, just checked Jayztwocents vid out and he lists the EVGA 970 SSC OC at 13789 in firestrike normal (1080) I've got a friend with a 970 and the most he's ever got in firestrike normal is 10500 which is lower (but not by much) than my 290x I doubt that the 970 can get nearly 14000 in firestike even OC'd, can someone verify Edit most of the peeps in this http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/298469-gtx-970-ownerspost-your-3dmark-firestrike-score-single-gpu/ thread are getting 10000-11000 with the odd 12000 so some magic fairy dust being applied by Jayztwocents methinks
  9. Right now the best 970 is an R9 390
  10. I'm honestly starting to wonder if that USB memory stick was detected...
  11. Didn't realise that, thanks for the info Better: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/843v99
  12. I had one of these, it killed everything at the time 2008/9 I believe it should be on par with a 660/670m
  13. Why would you not be able to OC with this board? Is the UEFI locked down? Or is it simply because its not aimed at OC'ing?
  14. Agree, but could apple not make the connector out of 7000 series aluminium (notice I spelt it the correct way, damn yanks lol) why do they have to re-invent the wheel for everything when perfectly serviceable tech already exists
  15. Could they not just re-use old 2.5mm connectors that some phones had back in the day?
